I bought this as a souvenir for myself on the way back from the Oku-Nikko trek.
I thought it was sake from Nikko since it was called Suginamiki, but I was told that the brewery itself is located a bit further south in the prefecture.
I bought "Nenrin" from the Suginamiki series, which had several varieties. I enjoyed the conservative, mainstream taste, which is not trendy, with a moderate aroma and emphasis on umami.
It is like a white wine! Quite impactful acidity and sweetness.
I bought it for the BBQ we were going to have today, hoping to have a sake that would not be defeated by the meat dishes... but it was raining and windy and we had to give up. ☔️🌀
I had no choice (?) but to drink it at home. I drank it at home and was surprised at how much richer it was than I expected! 🍾.
I don't know anything about the world or difficult politics, but I could tell right away that this Kamotsuru was a very pleasant and sharp taste that I liked very much 😋.
Stopping at the second restaurant. A good sake store with a good sake tucked away place to stop even if you have to stop on the way 🍶.
The first glass was a local "Shinkame" from Saitama (today's was a draft sake), and the second was a "Yokoyama" from here.
It tasted a little sweet. The second glass was a "YOKOYAMA" from here. It tasted a little sweet, but the aftertaste was smooth with almost no residue.
At "Kamikori" in Ichigaya.
Two shots of Takesan, the owner, and a fellow student of mine 😆 (I was allowed to show my face).
They always have a "hidden sake" menu that tells a story about the sake they serve 😋.
...I finally got my Shimane sake.
A gift from a colleague from Ueda City.
One sip, and first of all, it is beautiful!
Elegant aroma and mellow, not too sweet. A taste for adults? It tastes like an adult.
We chose the hi-ire version this time, after having a hard time deciding between it and the nama sake.
A bottle that can be enjoyed calmly while enjoying its umami. Delicious...
It has been a long time since I last tasted Shichida.
This time, it was an unfiltered draft Yuyamanishiki from Toyama Prefecture.
The aroma is gorgeous and the effervescence is strong.
