I spent the Obon holiday relaxing at my wife's parents' house, and on my way home, I went to Tokyo alone. I was exhausted from the trip, but I needed to eat, so I went to a nearby sushi restaurant. I drank a little too much, but I enjoyed a glass of Kenkunichi that day. It was elegant, dry, not too assertive, and delicious. Perfect when you want to enjoy your meal 😊. The picture is of a clam with a hearty broth, and the nigiri was a tough mussel, according to the owner. Both were great. LOL!

Today we moved! I had to get up at 3:00 a.m. due to an accident, and I'm exhausted, but now that I'm finally settled, I'm going to explore new restaurants 😁. I was left to my own devices, and I got the Jun Dai from Yi Woo. What is "Ii Yu"? LOL! This is so delicious 😋. The seme aroma is impressive, but the taste is refreshing. However, the complex flavor, with umami at the top, is very satisfying both as a mealtime sake and on its own. It is a pity that it is rare and hard to find. By the way, the restaurant is excellent. The sake is reasonably priced and delicious, and they have a maniacal selection of sake. I think I will be going back for this one 😊.

I'm a moderate drinker these days. However, I have to empty my cellar of sake before I move next week 😁. The Yokoyama Nama was not as spicy as the name "super spicy" suggests. It has a strong flavor, but is not too heavy and goes well with everything. This is the kind of sake I like to drink once in a while. There were some delicious looking chicken grunt, so I had it with ponzu (Japanese citrus juice) and a lot of condiments. It is the best!

Petite weight loss period for summer. LOL! So, it's been a while, but this time it's Hishiko Junmai Dry. Well, as the name suggests, it is crisp and dry. It has a strong sharpness. However, both the aroma and mouthfeel are mild at the beginning, and the spiciness and bitterness in the latter half of the bottle keep me from getting tired of it. Now is the time of year when horse mackerel is delicious. Personally, I like to dip it in light seasoning and dress it with sesame paste😊.

Mrs. Kikuchi, who usually doesn't ask what she wants to eat, said she was really in the mood for sukiyaki today. I decided to match it because it's rare. So we went with a junmai sake 😁Tanaka Rokuugo. This was right on target. The sweetness of the rice can be felt and the marriage was a success. The umami and the bitterness of the aftertaste are just like junmai, but it is rather refreshing and not tiring to drink. It is a great balance. It is delicious!

I'm watching RIZIN today after getting beat up a lot at the gym. LOL! Drinking alcohol reduces the effect of training, but who cares about that? So here's a bottle of Hiran unfiltered sake. First of all, it's a fresh and full-flavored sake that is easy to understand, with a fresh aroma reminiscent of grapefruit, and a mouthfeel that will lift your spirits. Not bad 😁. The weather is getting much warmer and more spring-like 😊. As the cherry blossoms are at the end of their season, it is GREEN at Manjusen. I feel like I'm being coy. LOL! What is this, a white wine? A little luxury tonight 😁. It's getting warmer and I'm almost done with nabe. My brother sent me some swordfish shabu shabu 😊 it's great. LOL! I'm going to go with Ryujin. It is sweeter than I thought it would be, but the nabe is also a little sweet, so it goes well with it. But although the first impression is that it is sweet and you might get tired of drinking it, for some reason I never get tired of it. It's a strange one that can be used as a food sake as well. This weekend my wife and kids are back home and I'm single. I had some things I wanted to do accordingly, but it was raining and cold outside and I ended up starting drinking early. LOL! I got a big hokayorigai clam, so I'm going to match the fire-roasted sairai 😁. But it was unexpected. The aroma of muscat was strong and fresh on the palate. And the mouthfeel is fresh. I was worried that I made a mistake. I was worried that I made a mistake, but the umami of the rice spread firmly. And then the bitterness and acidity make it sharp. I like this 😊. It's been quite a while since I've seen Black Phoenix live tonight 😁. I like this one quite a bit. I don't need to comment any longer. LOL. The aroma and taste are so calm and elegant that it is hard to believe that it is a junmai ginjo. However, as the temperature gradually rises in the mouth, it becomes more gorgeous and complex, and shows a different face. It is too good. While sipping on this sake, I am happy to think about where I am going to move to tonight 😊.

The days are getting much warmer. It's almost time to have my favorite oyster nabe before the nabe is over. I'm going to eat oysters with gusto 😁. Well, the season of my favorite firefly squid is here 😁 still a bit floundering? LOL! Tonight's sake is Ai no Sato. It is made by Nanyo Jyozo, famous for its Hanayoukasui sake. It is junmai (pure rice) and fire-aged, so it does not have the same gorgeous flavor as HanayoYukyu. It has a slight pineapple aroma, soft sweetness of rice, and a little bitterness and crispness. It is good. Personally, I think I like this one better. LOL!

It's gotten much warmer lately😊. I'm in the mood for something refreshing to drink. I chose Takachiyo, which is a draft sake. It is very fresh on the palate. It has a refreshing grapefruit aroma and a soft sweetness. But it doesn't end there. LOL! The last part is quite spicy. But the sharpness is very good, and the overall impression is right on target 😁. It goes well with fried bean curd.

ANGEL4 is rumored to be brewed by a unit of female brewers. Tonight I chose the Machida brewery. It's fire-brewed but still fizzy like a fresh one! Is it bias that I find it fresh, fruity and feminine? LOL! It's slightly bitter like grapefruit, but you can drink it refreshingly. Yum!
