Since it is a nigori sake, I thought it would be sweet, but I didn't expect it to be dry. It says on the label that the yeast is still alive and active, but maybe it's the power of the yeast that makes the drink go down quickly. The strong carbonation, sourness, astringency and a hint of sweetness mingle with each other.

A colleague's souvenir from Tottori. Recently, I was used to drink fruity and sour sake, so the sake with the strong flavor of rice permeates my taste buds.

The recommended way to drink it is to warm it up to about 50 degrees Celsius, so I decided to warm it up right away! A chilled drink while you wait for it to warm up. Dry and dry with a hint of sweetness It seems too clean and lacking. When it's warmed up, the full flavor of the rice comes through. It has a clean, dry finish. I think it's one that only comes out when you warm it up.

I had been wanting to try it when I saw it introduced on YouTube's Salmon Lab Channel as "delicious cold or at room temperature or warmed up," so I bought some Hirotogawa at Kaki-numa. It's refreshing and sweet in a cold brew. Warmed up, the robust rice flavor and sweetness is evident. This is one to keep on hand.

Purchase at Kakinuma, Adachi-ku, Tokyo I'll have a cold one first. The mouthfeel is refreshing, but the sweetness and flavor of the rice immediately spreads in the mouth and leaves a lingering sweetness that is not too persistent. Now, let's get it lukewarm. Warming it up gives it a rich rice flavor and a slight sourness that you didn't experience with cold sake, as well as a pleasant alcoholic sensation on the nose. It's a drink that can be consumed cold or warmed in any way.

This junmai sake is made from 100% Iwate original sake rice "Ginotome" grown by students of Morioka Agricultural High School. It has a lactic acid aroma and a refreshing taste as if you were drinking water, with no unnecessary sweetness from the rice and a slight sourness. It is good to drink with any kind of food as a mid-day drink! The next day I tried it lukewarm, and as soon as I put it in my mouth, the distinct rice flavor spread, with a pleasant bitter aftertaste. When it was cold, it was too refreshing and unsatisfying, but by warming it up, I was able to enjoy the robust flavor.

The fourth bottle purchased at the Asakai Sake Brewery The third in the Kiryu Series A sake made from Iwate's original breed, Imai no Hitomebore Refreshingly sour and sweet like a pineapple The instructions said it should be cold to lukewarm. Personally, I think it tastes better when it's well chilled.
