We had our first cold wholesale of the year. Every time it is the season for cold sake, I am amazed at how quickly a year goes by. I can't tell the difference between this and the year-round Atago no Matsusasara because we didn't compare them at the same time, but this one also has a beautiful rice flavor that is perfect for eating. 4.0 / 5.0

This is the first time I have had the limited Daiginjo-nama sake. Like the regular Kikusui Funaguchi, this one is also very dark. Continuing from yesterday, we were served Hijirizumu by Sei Shuzo. This is a test brew using Gohyakumangoku for koji rice, Hitomebore for kake rice, and white malted rice. When you approach the glass, you can smell the citrus aroma. It has a nice sourness that reminds me of orange, which is derived from the white malted rice. I really like the taste. It is so delicious that you can empty a bottle of sake by itself. 4.5 / 5.0

The appearance is perhaps a slightly lighter golden color than other Kikuhime. It was released under a new brand name due to its sake quality that deviates from the philosophy of the Kikuhime brand category, but the aroma and taste were very Kikuhime-like and very delicious. This time we had it cold and at room temperature. Personally, I preferred it at room temperature, where the gentle flavor of the rice could be felt more.
