I opened a bottle that I bought about a month ago. This is the first time I've had a Colaku Orikara. The aroma is between banana and melon. It tastes sweet, but it is easy to drink because it has acidity, a little gasiness, and a sharp aftertaste. The taste is sweet, but with some acidity and a little bitterness. It's a good wine!

One of the souvenirs from last year's trip to Sendai. Hatsukudoki Utsuri! The aroma before drinking is surprisingly not much. When you drink it, it smells apple-like. The taste was sweetness first, then sweetness again! The aftertaste is alcoholic? It is spicy and sweet, but not cloying. I enjoyed it with oden and yakitori 🙏. I think the alcohol content is a bit high, so I fell asleep and will review the next day 😅.

This is Yamori, a local Higashimurayama sake! I used to drink it quite a bit when I was at my parents' house, so I was surprised when I saw it at the top of the Sake-no-wa ranking lol! I bought it when I went back home at the end of the year. This time I couldn't refrigerate it when I carried it with me, so I bought the hi-iri for the first time. The aroma is mild compared to the nama-shu. However, when you drink it, it is quite fruity. It is easy to drink, but the sweetness only lingers in the mouth a little. It is a local sake, but it has been quite a while since I have had it, and it was delicious. Next time I go back, I'll bring a cooler bag and buy some nama-zake as well.

I got this one from a respected senior at work. He told me several times that he would read Ryokoto, but it was hard to remember😅. I will have it as soon as possible on the day I get it. I don't really notice the aroma. The fact that it was given to me by a senior who likes sweet sake means... it's still sweet! It has a strong sweetness. It has a nice aftertaste with acidity and a hint of gas. It was a type of taste I don't usually drink, but it was delicious!

The last drink of the New Year vacations (only 3 consecutive holidays for me 😅) was this one, a souvenir from Sendai. For some reason, I found it at the supermarket "Shufu no Ten Saichi" in Akiu Onsen, and since I had never seen the name before, I ended up buying it. Kameizumi is one of my favorite brands, so I was excited to open the bottle! It has a nice 🍍🍐 aroma. I can't really tell the difference in taste between this and CEL-24, but I can say that it was 💦 delicious. I enjoyed drinking a lot of alcohol during the year-end and New Year's holidays. I'm going to work hard to make up for all the drinking I did.

Today is the first time to drink outside in the new year and the first time to drink rice wine. It had quite a fruity aroma, but the taste was refreshing. The sweetness and bitterness flowed smoothly. For me, it tasted better with snacks than with sake alone. It went well with oden!

This is the first No. 6 in my life! I had an auspicious event at the beginning of the New Year, winning the lottery, which I did not expect. Initially, I did not know the lottery existed in the first place, so thanks to my wife for telling me 🙏. As for the taste, it's too much for me to review, and I don't have the vocabulary to do so, so I can only give a brief description... aroma, sourness, sweetness, a bit of bitterness... various? Complex? It has a complex taste, yet the aftertaste is so refreshing that you can drink it as much as you want. It was very tasty. I could understand why Niimasa is so popular. We had a great time as a family, including the experience of going to Shibuya to buy it. It was a great start to the year ✨.

I had to work on New Year's Day, so today is my first sake of the new year. The first sake of 2025 is...Hanayo! I was lucky enough to see it at a nearby liquor store, so I bought a bottle for the first time in my life. When I opened it, I could smell the 🍍 aroma as rumored! I drank it with high expectations...the sweetness is surprisingly moderate! It is easy to drink, but there is a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. It tastes just right to drink with a meal - delicious! My wife wanted a little more sweetness, so I guess it depends on the person. As the temperature rises, the sweetness increases and the bitterness decreases, and it was well received by my wife! I am happy to drink a delicious sake at the beginning of the New Year. I wonder when I can drink it again...for now, I would like to enjoy a bottle slowly.

The third cup on New Year's Eve is Toyobai! This is also my first time to drink it. My brother bought it for me, but I was scared when I heard how much it cost. It has a fruity aroma, sweetness, and a delicious rice flavor. I could tell even on the third glass. I enjoyed it very much 🙏.

The second one on New Year's Eve is Abe! This is the first time I have had abe. It is a special order from Ozaki Shoten near my parents' house, so I am excited to see what it tastes like. When I drank it... it tastes like white wine! It has quite a bit of acidity. I think this is delicious...but since the dishes were sashimi and crab casserole, it didn't go well with them💦I would like to revisit this because I think it would go well with Western-style dishes!

On New Year's Eve, I went home to my parents' house and drank a lot of alcohol (I mean a lot for me because I am not a drinker lol). The first bottle was a bottle of Romain. I was surprised to see that it was made from glutinous rice. I wondered what it would taste like, but I was even more surprised by its fruity and easy-to-drink taste! It was my first time to drink both Romain and glutinous rice sake, but they were both delicious!

One of the bottles of sake I bought as a souvenir from my trip to Sendai. The lid was too hard to open...I struggled with it for more than 5 minutes. The aroma is a bit lactic. It is quite sweet, but the carbonation makes it flow nicely. I first drank it with a hot pot, but it went well with cheese and prosciutto I picked up later! It feels almost like a sparkling white wine. I haven't had sparkling sake in a while, but it was delicious!

My first Kangiku! I found this at a local liquor store. I had been wanting to drink it for a long time, so I bought it immediately! It is served with oden and sashimi. It has a fruity aroma and as the description says, it tastes juicy, fresh, and exciting. It has a slight gassy taste and is quite sweet, but the aftertaste is refreshing and you can drink more and more of it. Is it similar to Oze no Yukidoke? This one is juicier, but I think the strains are similar. I have found another sake I like...! It was very tasty - I'm sure I'll repeat it!

The second bottle in the drinking comparison is Machida Shuzo. My boss recommended it to me and I bought it for the first time. It is directly pumped, so the aroma floats in the air. When I drank it, I found it to be moderately sweet and sour! It has a moderate gassiness and a bitter taste at the end. It was also a delicious sake that went well with yellowtail shabu-shabu! There are many delicious sake in Gunma...

Yellowtail is on sale at a local supermarket! Tonight is yellowtail shabu-shabu! ...So, of course, sake was served. This time, we had a sake comparison party in Gunma. Oze no Yukidoke and Machida Sake Brewery! First, we had Oze no Yukidoke. It has a fruity aroma! Melon and banana-like? There is quite a bit of sweetness and some acidity. Almost no gassy feeling. It has a strong sweetness but a clean aftertaste. There is no bitterness or eginess at all, and it tastes just like the name "snowdrift" implies! It went very well with yellowtail shabu-shabu. It is a daiginjo at a reasonable price, and is a wonderful sake!

During my trip, I went to a liquor store near Sendai station...they have Hirotogawa nigori, which I often see at Sake no Wawa! I had no choice but to buy it! So I had it delivered to my house and had it on the day of arrival. The aroma is yogurt-like, but not too strong. The aroma is yogurt-like, but not too strong. When you drink it, you first taste sweetness, then sourness, and finally bitterness. The bitter taste comes at the end and it is easy to drink. My wife and I drank it together, and it was almost our first nigori sake. We wondered if the sweetness would be stronger if we mixed it with the supernatant, but we were surprised to find that the bitterness became stronger when we mixed it with the supernatant. It was delicious and went well with meals! It was a fun by-product of our trip... ♪

On the second day of our trip, we went to Shiogama. We went to the famous sushi restaurant "Sushi Tetsu". Since we were on vacation, we splurged. After deciding on sushi, I was wondering what kind of sake to order when the waitress told me that the whole town was currently holding a new sake festival. I was so excited that I decided on sushi and was wondering what kind of sake I would like! The new sake festival is supposed to be a sake comparison between Urakasumi and Abekan, but unfortunately Abekan is out of stock. We will have the Urakasumi. It is quite different from the Karakuchi we drank yesterday! It has a fruity aroma and a slightly sweet but refreshing taste. It was a perfect match for sushi. We had to check in at Urakumi two days in a row, and it was a great trip with delicious sake!
