This one was given to me in return for sake I sent to my boss, and it's my first Fukuoka Prefecture sake! I didn't know what to choose when it came to Fukuoka sake, so I'm very grateful to be able to drink it in this form! It is a well-balanced and delicious sake. The most wonderful thing about this sake is that it is fire-aged, so it is hard to lose this flavor. It tastes great even after a few days. Although there is sweetness, it does not bother you too much because the main flavor is umami. What is this feeling of being able to drink without getting tired of it? It is not so much sourness, bitterness, or astringency, and it is strange that it is smooth but somehow deep and earthy. Actually, I forgot to post this post after drinking it, but I had this one for New Year's Day. This kind of aromatic and light sake was definitely a good match for Japanese dishes like Osechi. My first Fukuoka sake was a simple and good sake.

Purchased at a local liquor store...Yamada Nishiki, ✖️ Gohyakumangoku = Koshitanrei, 100% sake rice from Niigata Prefecture. Sweet! I went shopping at Aeon today and found this Toko on the shelf near the expiration date in the sake section. I've never had a sake from Yamagata before so I bought this one. It's a dry and robust sake ☺️. I like the taste. I thought I've never had a sake from Yamagata prefecture but I did. I had a hard time deciding between it and Nanbu Bijin but it didn't matter.

The fourth and final bottle I bought from Gonoi Sake Store's free shipping campaign is Karahashi, which is one of my favorite brands ❗ As I wrote in my previous review, it is brewed by Homare Shuzo, the family of freelance announcer Yumi Karahashi 😘. I've had the Yamada Nishiki black kara-hashi a few times before, but I've missed the Yume-no-Koh white kara-hashi a few times at my local liquor store, so I took this opportunity to pop it ☝️. The upfront aroma is a hint of strawberry🍓. It's sweet and delicious at first, but after swallowing, the bitter and sour aftertaste spreads slowly. It's dry compared to Haneya's Aizan, which I opened just before, but I like it because it's not overpowering, and it goes well with almost anything😄. It's a shame that the brand name is not registered on Sake no Wa... 😢.
