I bought it in Kumamoto during my Shikoku - Kyushu - Kinki trip last year. It was a brand I wanted to try at least once, and I was so happy that I let it sit for more than a year. When I opened the bottle and poured it, it smelled like honey and custard. The mouthfeel is moist and sweet. It has a savory, caramel-like flavor and a balance of sweet and sour astringency. It is so delicious that you can't help but smile! The full-bodied sweetness and bitter astringency in the aftertaste. The taste is not too strong, but has a high level of quality, and is very similar to a pudding! Hachitan-nishiki has a nice aroma... my favorite fruity flavor... and the mouthfeel... a good bitterness of sweetness and bitterness, followed by the sharpness of Hachitan-nishiki!
