On Sunday, I visited the Taste of Morita Co. This is the family brewery of Akio Morita, the founder of Sony. I was attracted by the Aji no Yakata limited edition and bought a bottle. It tasted a little sweeter than I expected and was easier to drink than I expected. 1,650 yen

This is the Ageha no Mai Junmai Sake Gin no Sato. It is a sweet and delicious sake with a mild fruity aroma and a refreshing taste.

The smell is slightly alcoholic, with a hint of grapes when stirred. Taste is thick and juicy on the tongue, and the fruitiness quickly fades from the rice flavor, leaving a bitter aftertaste. The bitterness lingers for a long time. It is as if it is expressing the feeling of drinking the wine with the sound of "chiri-chiri-chiri-kuchi-kuchi-soon. There is no gassy feeling. Delicious with yatsuhashi.

Next was a Hiroshima sake called HANAHATO. It is a junmai ginjo made from 100% Senbon-Nishiki. The label is a rabbit, the Chinese zodiac sign for the New Year. Actually, this and the next brand were given to me by another business partner. We met next to each other at a meeting, drank together at the dinner table, talked about sake, and had a great time. We are also regular customers of Gin no Sake Kibune, and we receive items purchased from there every time we visit. m(_ _)m The taste is soft and sweet. This is a unit work of three breweries in Joetsu: Katafune (Takeda Sake Brewery), Koshiji-no-Kenbai (Kubiki Shuzo), and Chiyonomitsu (Chiyonomitsu Sake Brewery). Kura-kept yeast, fresh yeast, and shibari. The proprietor introduced that there is a new trial in Niigata as well. Delicious! It starts with a light sweetness, followed by acidity and a sharp bitterness. This complexity is good. I couldn't take my eyes off of the sake from Joetsu. There is a recommendation from Takeda Shuzo on the back label, which is also interesting.

Hachitan-nishiki has a nice aroma... my favorite fruity flavor... and the mouthfeel... a good bitterness of sweetness and bitterness, followed by the sharpness of Hachitan-nishiki! It does not disappoint! I'm sure many people prefer this to Yamoru... I'm sipping it while grilling oysters... yummy!

Another brand of YAMAMORI Purchased at a supermarket near my house. It is a Hachitan-Nishiki, a specialty of Teshimaya, and the taste is almost the same as Yamori's.
