We compared 2 bottles of Hakuro Taruhu Jun Daigin set with the Hometown Tax return gift from Tsuruoka City. ✌️
First, let's start with Dewa Sanzan 😄.
The aroma is fruity with a hint of sourness.
The label says it is mellow and umaguchi, and while it is certainly umaguchi, it is characterized by its sharpness, leaving the impression of acidity and dryness in the aftertaste.
It has a strong sense of transparency and is both mildly sweet and spicy, making it a good mid-meal sake.
It has a wide strike zone for temperature, and can be served cold, of course, but it also shows its potential at temperatures that are close to room temperature.

The second bottle is Rashinban, my personal No.2 brand from last year.
Ordered again this year with Furusato tax return 😂.
This is an ice-aged Jun Daigin made from the beautifully named Yuki-Onogami sake rice, polished to 33%.
The top aroma is tropical fruit🥭 type.
On the palate, the sweetness and umami are firm, but the finish is quick and curiously refreshing.
The aftertaste is full of ripeness and spiciness, and the taste is delicious from start to finish.

A liquor store in Yamagata recommended this sake to me.
I bought it because it's a Junmai Daiginjo made by polishing a rare type of sake rice called Yukimajin up to 39.
The alcohol content is high, but the taste is refreshing, sweet and mild.
It's rich with flavor but crisp after drinking it 🙂
It smells very fragrant and makes me happy😇
