I got a bottle of Senkyu's "Kirifuri" on a business trip to Utsunomiya the other day...fruity aroma, strong acidity and bitterness? It has a fruity aroma, acidity, and a strong bitterness. I think it's a good sake for a meal...I had sardine nigiri and on the second day, I had yakitori as a side dish...I feel this sake is better when the bottle is opened. It has some peculiarities...but...it's delicious!

This is a piece of bread I bought on my way back from a trip to Kirifuri Kogen. I thought it was the perfect name for a souvenir, but I was surprised to find it was made by Senkou 😳. I've been storing it at room temperature for a while now because it's been heat-treated. But I thought it would be better to drink it cold, so I put it in the fridge and drank it. The best thing about this product is that it has the gas and acidity that I like, even if it has been heated.

The underlings are opening another good sake today👍. Seems to have won the highest gold award out of 901 entries in the 2018 Wine Glass Delicious Sake Awards😍. I bought this at the first liquor store I went to because it was politely recommended 😋. I would say it's definitely like wine. The aroma is amazing. Should have drunk it in a wine glass😅. The sweetness is slight, but the rice flavor is strong. I thought it would be dense but it's also very crisp. It's a good sake with good cost and good ministry.

At Ya-Ya in Kobe. This is the first time to drink Neko Masamune since it was transferred from the defunct Omi Sake Brewery to Maihime🐱. It was sunny this afternoon and the weather recovered, so I opened a bottle that had been well chilled in the refrigerator. It is a light nigori (light cloudy) sake. The label is white and empty on the surface, but when you shine a light on it from behind, a starry sky appears on the label. When the lees are mixed in, it looks foggy, and when the lees settle, it looks like a star-filled sky (Milky Way). At first it is too cold to smell much. I bought a bottle of Ayagiku's raw sake because it seems to be rare. I bought it at Okura Sake Shop in front of Tamatsukuri Station. It is a new store opened this year. They seem to carefully select and handle brands that are not found in the Kansai region. They have a wide selection of sake brands such as Rairaku, Kinshi Morinori, Shonosato, Hizen Kurashin, Chitose Mori, Kikunoi, Hakuryu (Fukui Prefecture), Ayagiku, Hanashimi, Zoka, Morinokura, Rokkasen, Tenzan, etc. Sake made with Sanuki olive yeast. Fresh, rich, sweet and acidic. The acidity is impressive, but there is also a bit of spiciness in the latter half. It has a light mouthfeel for its alcohol content, perhaps due to the acidity. It does have a slightly tropical flavor.
