We went on a bullet trip to a hot spring in Gunma 😆♨️ Before arriving at the ryokan, we went to a local liquor store. I decided to buy some Gunma sake at a local liquor store before we arrived at the ryokan! I was so excited, I visited Takahashi Yo Shoten for the first time, which I sometimes order from Corona Disaster! I visited Takahashi Yoh Shoten for the first time! I found a bottle of sake that I had ordered before and was very impressed. The Gan brewed by Mikito Takai, who is no longer with the company, was really delicious, so I chose the New Gan with the feeling that I would like to try it too. I was surprised to find that it was brewed by Mikito Takai! And it's still delicious 😭✨ It was great slightly chilled, but also great warmed 👍. Not spectacular, but deeply delicious... Purchased with Tenryo sake cup at Okuhiroya in Kayashima. They stocked it because it was well received at a Saga sake tasting event held for sake retailers. Probably not normally available in the Kansai region. The rice is made from Hokkaido's Kitashizuku. I know Nabeshima also uses Kitashizuku. Comparison of nigori sake (Wakayama's favorite nigori sake) Following Minakata, Chokyu ✌️ This is the fire-brewed version of the nigori sake we drank in February. I buy every bottle of Chokyu I see that I have never had before 😆. The first thing that surprised me when I drank it was that there was no fizziness at all 😲. The aroma is somewhat almond-like, and it's cloudy with a lot of orioles, so it's like diluted almond milk. But it also has a sourness to it, so I felt a bit unbalanced 🤔. I prefer nigori sake with a fizzy taste 😄.

Nigori Sake (Japanese rice wine) First time drinking Chokyu's nigori 😊. I always buy Chokyu when I see the new label ✌. The ori is quite a bit more and has a strong fizzy feel to it. It has a lot of umami and a hint of sweetness that is typical of Chokyu, and yet it has a clean dryness that makes it a dangerous sake that you can drink with gusto 🤭. The impression is quite similar to Hirotogawa's nigori👍 It goes well with western food, and the omelette was a nice match 😋.

This one is a bit different from the matured Omachi sake I had last year, and I have the impression that it swings in a very sweet and juicy direction. The aroma is tropical 🥭 and the flavor is perfect, with a long, sharp finish and a hint of bitterness. The umami flavor is firm, so it is easy to match with Japanese fried food 👍. Chokyu seems to have a different direction for each label, but each one has its own characteristics and they are all delicious and addictive 😍.

This is the first time I drink it at home. I bought it from Kurumiya in Hachinohe because they only sell one bottle of sake in my neighborhood. I also bought two other kinds of sake that cannot be bought in Kansai. The packaging was very careful and excellent. The aroma is subtle, with hints of strawberries and berries. The refreshing sweetness and acidity are pleasant. The final taste is bitter. I have the impression that Miyamanishiki and other sake I have had in the past were sweeter. I wish there was a store in Kansai where I could buy Shugou... I heard that the sake brewery here is aging, with all the employees over 65 years old.
