The last of Hankyu Brewery Festival The first one: Fukuoka Wakatakeya Debut Sake like a dark white wine with the flavor of rice. But it is easy to drink! But be careful, it has 17 degrees of alcohol! This one was taught by Haruei Chichi and Gura. It's my first time in Fukuoka with this delicious drink! Thank you very much 🙏. The second one, Tottori Inada Honten IKU'S SHIRO Sweet and sour, tastes like juice. I tasted various kinds of sake while learning from many members. It was a lot of fun! Junmai Ginjo🍶Summer only sake 😆. Sweet and thick 😳. It's like coarse 😅. When you take your time to sip it, it softens a bit and has a dry melon aftertaste. Softened by Aizu's specialty, squid and carrots. The final dish is a chilled shoyu sauce, which is unique to summer. But it is rather refreshing. The soup is delicious. Souvenirs from Shinshin SY Among several souvenirs, I chose this one intuitively by looking at the label. He brought three four-packs of sake as a souvenir, which is a generous gesture for a business traveler who travels all over the country. I would never have been able to do such a thing with my own pocketbook. When I pour it into the cup, it is more yellow than I expected! Is this a matured type? The aroma is slightly fruity, but has a bitter, mature aroma. The mouthfeel is crisp and dry, with a light sweetness and bitterness, and a moderate umami, but the maturing aroma in the aftertaste is unique. The light sourness and bitterness in the aftertaste are quite a tricky thing to pull off. This strange taste is not one of my favorites, but it is something that makes me want to drink it again. It reminds me of that strange feeling I had in junior high school when I used to prank cigarettes behind my back. It's a treat!

First brand name Kita no Hana. It is a backroom deal with a sake teacher. Even if I say it is a backroom deal, he will sell me any rare sake at the same price I bought it from the liquor store, and even if I tell him I will take care of the transportation costs, he stubbornly refuses to accept it. I told them that if I sold them at a higher price, the liquor store would take me on as a reseller, and after that, they would never sell me rare sake. The fact that you can normally drink Jyushiyo at home is based on the mutual trust between the seller and the buyer. Kita no Hana, the label is very attractive. I don't detect much of the Kamitatekoso, but there is a round, unfamiliar aroma in the back of the bottle. The mouthfeel is moist, calm, and elegant with sweetness and soft umami, and the rounded aroma in the aftertaste is fruity. The acidity and bitterness are both moderate, and it has a mysterious sharpness that just flutters and closes. It is really a round, gentle and mysterious sake, and this must be one of its balances. This is a sake from my hometown - Echizen Ono (Ono City, Fukui Prefecture). It used to be sold at roadside stations, but I looked for it again on my return trip, but I didn't seem to see much of it in the city. I wondered if they are limiting the amount of brewing - or if they are just out of stock. This is the one I found in my parents' fridge. Cool and pungent. A cool spiciness, followed by a nice, clean rice flavor. Then, a strong wave of spiciness hits you. The spiciness swells up while accepting freshness, umami, and sweetness. The intense flavor is intoxicating. After all, Genpei is delicious. I found out that Genpei Shuzo went bankrupt last November, and the direct sales shop was closed. The story of the bankruptcy and revival of the brewery was also seen in the morning drama "Ranman," and I look forward to the time when I can experience the taste of Genpei again.

Comparison of nigori sake (Wakayama's favorite nigori sake) Following Minakata, Chokyu ✌️ This is the fire-brewed version of the nigori sake we drank in February. I buy every bottle of Chokyu I see that I have never had before 😆. The first thing that surprised me when I drank it was that there was no fizziness at all 😲. The aroma is somewhat almond-like, and it's cloudy with a lot of orioles, so it's like diluted almond milk. But it also has a sourness to it, so I felt a bit unbalanced 🤔. I prefer nigori sake with a fizzy taste 😄.

Nigori Sake (Japanese rice wine) First time drinking Chokyu's nigori 😊. I always buy Chokyu when I see the new label ✌. The ori is quite a bit more and has a strong fizzy feel to it. It has a lot of umami and a hint of sweetness that is typical of Chokyu, and yet it has a clean dryness that makes it a dangerous sake that you can drink with gusto 🤭. The impression is quite similar to Hirotogawa's nigori👍 It goes well with western food, and the omelette was a nice match 😋.

[Summer sake is also berry good😂] The most memorable brand I drank last year, super kyu🥰. Don't miss out on getting a bottle of summer raw sake that's also bright! This one is a bit different from the matured Omachi sake I had last year, and I have the impression that it swings in a very sweet and juicy direction. The aroma is tropical 🥭 and the flavor is perfect, with a long, sharp finish and a hint of bitterness. The umami flavor is firm, so it is easy to match with Japanese fried food 👍. Chokyu seems to have a different direction for each label, but each one has its own characteristics and they are all delicious and addictive 😍.
