I've been drinking a lot of Jyushidai, and it's time to try some of the more expensive models (like Ryu no Boshiko or Gokujo Morohaku).

We had it at a well-stocked corner restaurant in Gotanda. I liked this one the best. I thought it was good, but it was made by the Northwest Sake Brewery in Sairai. No wonder.

Kouei Kiku also claims lactic acid, but this one is not acidic. I think some people are addicted to it.

Mimuro Sugi is my favorite brand, although it is a bit expensive. The store owner tried to pour it as it was, so I asked him to mix it gently. It is a light nigori.

As expected of the Takagi Sake Brewery. If someone told me that it was Jyushiyo, I wouldn't doubt it. I'm amazed at the taste of this honjozo (with added alcohol). It is not available like the Jyushidai, though.
