2025 Hiyoroshi, the first bottle for the anniversary.
Last year I couldn't drink it due to various reasons.
First impression
Acid -> bitter -> watery
I tried it cold or at room temperature, but my impression was the same...
Sweet, simple without complexity.
At first it was a bit sweet, but after a few days, the sweetness has disappeared in a good way and only the simple flavor can be felt. There is also a dry feeling.
Ripe dry banana
It's like the white fiber part of a banana.
It is another brand of Sharaku sake brewery,
Miyazumi has limited distribution channels (?). I heard that the distribution route of Miyazumi is limited(?).
I would like to repeat it if I can find it.
Omachi again... I like Omachi so I tend to take it.
I've had it a few times as a gift, but this is the first time I've been attracted to buy it myself.
When I drank it again,
The sense of balance is overwhelming.
It is not as heavy as I would like, but it is mellow and dry, so I am satisfied with the taste.
First encounter here 😯.
It is dry to the throat, like Sogen, and even bitter.
It doesn't go well with heavy sake cups.
The taste changes a bit with a thin glass.
0812 Postscript
The sea urchin and fatty tuna we got at Kakunoue gave it a much better flavor.
Omachi! The first time I saw this label.
It was at a liquor store back home, which had become a special distributor of Kurogyu.
Although it is my favorite brand, the last one I drank had a very strong image of Kurogyu.
This one has the same sake and alcohol content as indicated on the label, and I like it a lot because of its smooth taste with a clean aftertaste.
First sip: strong impact of fizz.
A little uncomfortable as I am not good at fizzing.
There is a mucky smell.
Slightly dry, with a clean aftertaste.
It is good as the temperature drops and it settles down.
Not much of the graininess I was looking forward to in Omachi.
A nice bottle with a summery label.
We matched it with the perfect Ryukyu glass sake cup.
The aroma of rice is strong.
It is said to be brewed by a female toji.
late growing wet-land rice variety, often used in sake production
Clean and fruity on the palate with a beautiful texture and a complex bitterness that spreads out from the bitter taste.
It also has a firmness! You will never get tired of drinking it!
Delicious!
For those who want to drink something a little stronger in spite of the summer sake season.
It has a graininess, but the texture and aftertaste are light, making it perfect for summer.
It has a pleasant taste.
A cosy junmai ginjo sake.
It has no fruitiness, but is mild and smooth on the palate. The dryness comes out in the latter half.
It goes well with any menu, so it is a good toast sake.
If you want to taste the outline of this sake, a glass is recommended.
Long time no see.
For various reasons, this is my first post in 9 months!
Aroma of banana.
It is 15%, but it has body and the mouthfeel is somewhat firm. Since it is a junmai sake, the mouthfeel is a little sluggish rather than refreshing.
The bitter taste of white banana fibers can be felt.
This is also my favorite Hachikan Nishiki.
It has a great alcohol taste and a mackie aroma as usual.
It is marked as requiring refrigeration, but I like it when it has settled down a bit.
The second day is also promising!
Tetorigawa x Yamahai x Unfiltered x Nama
A handsome assortment of what I like
It is not sharp but balanced!
It's like dry medium-hot.
If you drink it in a wine glass, I recommend to drink it cold.
↑The aroma is like white wine!
If you use a sake cup, drink a little more lukewarm than cold.
You can enjoy the mild taste.
