1906 2025/4 Kirakucho Dry Junmai Nama Yamadanishiki, Nihiharu 65 +12 1.8 19° 25/3 S Higashiomi-shi, Shiga Kita Shuzo 1800 2530 I was looking forward to drinking this 19° nama sake, and it did not disappoint. Although it is called dry, it has a sweetness to it along with the flavor and robust umami of nama-zake. Low alcohol sake is fun sometimes, but this kind of sake with a lot of body will reset you. It is a delicious sake that makes you drink too much without making you feel its high alcohol content.

1904 2025/3 Toyo Bijin Jyundo Isshu Junmai Ginjo Oorigarami Nama 50% 16° 25/3 A+ Sumikawa Shuzo Brewery, Hagi, Yamaguchi 1800 3300 It's been 25 years since I first had this sake, and I remember the bitterness of the first time I drank it. Unlike the impression I had in the past, it has a nice mild sweetness and a nice raw sake flavor. Above all, the soft acidity that brings out the overall flavor is very pleasant and moderate. I really think that first impressions are important, but at the same time, it is no good to be obsessive about them.

1903 2025/3 Setoichi The moon is beautiful. Junmai Ginjyo Nama Storage Sake Yamadanishiki 100 55% Association No.10 16° 25/1 Kuradashi 25/3 A Seto Shuzo Brewery, Kaisei-cho, Kanagawa 300 1100 At Yugawara I have wanted to try this sake for a long time. Setoichi has many variations, so I thought I would start with Sakata-Nishiki, but I found it on my trip and tasted it at the inn. It was elegant and mild, but had a strong flavor and was quite good. Next time, I would definitely like to try Sakata Nishiki.

1902 2025/3 Sari Sake with Tangled Tailings Hon Nama Junmai Ginjo Nama Shu 100% Yamadanishiki 60 16° 25/2 A Fukui-shi, Fukui Mouri Shuzo 1800 3300 A slight haze of leesiness. It has a slightly bitter taste on the palate, but it settles down after the next day. The aroma is gentle and clean, but the taste is soft and complements meals.

1901 2025/3 Liquefied sweet sake nigori Junmai Ginjo Nama Shu Toyama Nanto Yuyamanishiki 55 12-13° 24/11 A+ Gifu Yoroi-cho Gyokusendo Shuzo 360 968 This is the first active nigori since the blue bottle was discontinued. It has been a long time since the liquor store I used to go to for this stopped carrying it. The fizz was as strong as ever, and it took more than 10 minutes to open. As before, it was clean, dry, and a little lighter. (14-15° to 12-13°). And I wonder if I can feel a little lees that did not touch my tongue at all. The previous 500㎖ bottle was just the right drinkable size, so I feel a little short of drink, but I could feel like I was reunited with an old friend.

1900 2025/3 Tenjomugen Junmai Dry Namaishu Kura-no-Hana 60 +8 1.3 15° 25/2 A Miyagi Kami-machi Nakayuu Shuzoten 1800 3080 This is the raw sake that was already finished. It is light rather than dry. Easy to drink, but the flavor is light compared to the aroma. I tried heating it up, but it didn't change much. Next time I would like to try the Junmai Nama-nihanzake.

1899 2025/3 Shuyooshi Cold-Shibori-Junmai Nama-Nama-Shu Akita Sake Komachi 60 +3.5 1.5 1.2 Akita-style flower yeast, Hana-komachi yeast 17° 25/2 A+ Daisen City, Akita Suzuki Shuzoten 1800 2850 This is a Hideshiyoshi cold-brewed sake that was worth the effort of bringing back a bottle from Kakunodate 25 years ago. I found it with the same label as back then, so I bought it without hesitation. This time, the aroma is a bit more floral and you don't get a sense of the alcohol content. But it has a strong, robust flavor, and the imbalance between the aroma and the taste is interesting, in a good way.

1897 2025/3 Yamama Ura-yama Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake Gohyakumangoku, Koshibuki 70%. 17° 24/12 A+ Niigata Joetsu City Niigata Daiichi Shuzo 1800 3080 My first Yamama. I bought it because it was a draft sake, and when I got home I checked the label and found it was labeled "Ura-yanma". It was a little sweet as described, but it was easy to drink with a robust flavor that didn't linger too long. Next time, I would definitely try it from the front...

1896 2025/2 Yamori Junmai Orikarami Junmai Namaisake Hachitan-Nishiki 55 16° 24/12 A Toyoshimaya Shuzo, Higashimurayama-shi, Tokyo 720 1826 A soft and tasty sake, but a bit sweet. The bitterness finishes it off though. This was the brewery of the golden wedding.

Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake Omachi from Okayama 58 +1 1.5 1.4 17° 24/12 A+ Katanozakura Special Junmai Omachi Direct Kumi ver. 720 1815 The recent past has seen a series of relatively light and soft sake, but this is the first simple, rich and umami sake in a while. While there are more and more delicious sake with different tastes these days, this one made me feel like I was back on my home turf.

1893 2025/2 Akishika Junmai Sake Aragoshi Nama Shu Akebono 70% +7 2.0 1.7 601 16％ 24/12 A+ Nose-machi, Osaka Akishika Shuzo 720 1375 The first Akishika in a while was a nigori. When I turned on the perforated cap, there was no fizz at all. But since we are here, we had a clear sake for the first drink. There is no effervescence, but the acidity is pleasantly refreshing and dry, but the taste is firm. When I mixed it with thick lees, it became a little more robust, but it was not sweet, so the cup went on drinking. It might have been different if it had a fizzy taste, but I think I preferred the clear sake this time.

1892 2025/2 Seiki Sama Junmai Ginjo Yumenokou Nama-genshu Yumenokou from Fukushima 50%. +3 1.5 16° 24/12 A+ Fukushima Shirakawa City Aruga Jozo 1800 3520 The first sip gave the impression of dragging a bit of sweetness, but it settled down from the second day, and the acidity and slight bitterness seemed to tighten it up. Koikuma was also made at this brewery.

1890 2025/2 Kuroryu Junmai Ginjyo Hareguchi Nama Shu Junmai Ginjyo Nama Sake Gohyakumangoku from Fukui 55 +3 1.7 17° 25/1 A+ Fukui Eiheiji-cho, Kuroryu Shuzo 1800 3575 A little sweetness preceded the first sip, but from the next day on, the flavor, umami, and acidity are well balanced and elegant.

1889 2025/2 Tanaka Rokuugo Junmai Namaishu Itoshima Yamadanishiki 65 14° 24/12 A+ Shiraito Shuzo, Itoshima City, Fukuoka 1800 3630 I tried this one even though it was supposed to be 14°. It is light but has a firm taste with lees involved. It is easy to drink, so it is easy to go on drinking.

1888 2025/1 Seimasa Happo Shiboritate Junmai Namaisake Yuyamanishiki produced in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture 60% 15° 24/12 A+ Toyama Nanto City Narimasa Shuzo 720 1540 It's been a long time since I've seen this Narimasa at the local liquor store. The lees are slight but the pleasant effervescence, as it claims to be effervescent, enhances the robust flavor of the sake, which is not too sweet and is not too strong.
