At my first liquor store in Tokai City. Purchased a sweet sake recommendation for his wife. The owner was very kind. 500 ml for 1,430 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 50%. The color is slightly yellowish and the aroma smells of ripe rice. Is it really sweet? And when I drank it... It's too thick! And too sweet! Is there really no sugar in this? It's so sweet! And it has a slight brandy taste. This is definitely a good one to eat over ice cream. I had imagined the slightly sour, elegant sweetness of Shinsei Hinotori, so I was surprised, for better or worse! The label on the back says it is recommended to be served on the rocks or with soda, and I can see why, it is so dark and sweet. The wife loved it, saying it was insanely delicious. My wife's original comment: "I like it because it's sweet. But it's not elegant because it's too sweet. It doesn't feel like sake. (She is praising it.)" I tried it on the rocks. It's so good! It's definitely better on the rocks. LOL!!! The ice moderates the too thick flavor and makes the drink more refreshing. It's too cosy and my favorite. I also found a matured version of the same Dewazakura kijoshu, so I would like to buy that next time. Thank you very much for the treat (^^)

Purchased at Okadaya in Meieki for the first time. The clerk carefully explained the sake to me, so even a beginner could feel at ease at this liquor store. The price was 1,980 yen for 720 ml, tax included. Polishing ratio 60%. I was excited because I have been a fan of Tenbi since I drank it at Hikarizo. The aroma is amazingly fruity. So-called "kapu" type? This must be very sweet! I thought so and drank it... Contrary to my expectation, it is not sweet at all! Not even spicy! But it has a sharpness! Is this what you call a refreshing sake...? It is bitter, but in a good way! It's like dark grapefruit juice! And, as is typical of nama-zake, there is a strong gaseous sensation. I feel like I was betrayed, for better or worse. I think it would probably go really well with carpaccio. I don't think it will become my favorite, but I think people who are into it will like it. Next time I drink it, I want to drink it with carpaccio. On a side note, I recently started studying for the sake certification test! I hope to weave in more and more knowledge that I know! Postscript I paired it with carpaccio! With the acidity of the carpaccio, the bitterness I felt yesterday turned into a calm sweetness that was not too sweet...! If you want to match it with carpaccio, carpaccio is a definite choice.

This sake is made by Tajima Sake Brewery in Fukui Prefecture. A friend of mine is a classmate of Mr. Tajima's from college and bought it for me as a souvenir directly from him (^^) Polishing ratio 65 He said it is recommended to be heated. When I drank it cold, it was dry but slightly mellow. Then I tried it hot. Hmmm. The mildness is gone and the sharpness is stronger! I feel a strong sharpness. Delicious. This sake made me feel the goodness of dry sake. I like cold sweet sake, but this was a reaction to that. I tried drinking hot dry sake as a reaction to that, but it was not bad. It was not bad at all. (^^)

This sake is made by Tajima Sake Brewery in Fukui Prefecture. A friend of mine is a classmate of Mr. Tajima's at university and bought it for me as a souvenir directly from him (^^) Polishing ratio: undisclosed Unlike the other two, the aroma is fruity! When served in a wine glass, hmmm...I see. It is not sweet. It is dry. However, although it is mellow, it is more floral than the other two. It was a sake that made me feel the goodness of dry sake. It is a modern type of sake. For those of you who like dry sake, please try it. (^^)

The aroma is just like old-fashioned rice! The amber-colored sake has a strong sharpness after the umami taste! The mouthfeel is the same as that of the original sake. I had it with my own ponzu (citrus juice ponzu sauce), and it went well with it. I think it would be a great match with sashimi. We hope you like it, too. (^^)

Polishing ratio 60 No way! Jikon! It's served as much as you can drink! Impressive...lol! I filled my glass to the brim lol! Sake lees? is dancing like gold leaf. Looks nice. It's so good! Just the right amount of sweetness and umami with a sense of effervescence. The final sharpness without any unpleasant taste. Well, it's a great sake.

Polishing ratio 55 This is the first time I have had this wine. He who runs after two hares will get two hares I'm sure it's a good thing! (^^) A local sake from Aichi Prefecture. From the first sip, the fizziness and sweetness spread to the palate. And finally, it has a strong sharpness. This is delicious. I would like to try other kinds of sake.

Amaeko (sweet cat) 160ml 1,860 yen Tastes like a gin and tonic in both aroma and taste. Sweet acidity followed by a sharp alcohol taste. Completely different drinking experience from Hinotori. Personally, it didn't really stick with me. (It's definitely delicious, but maybe I set the bar too high.)

At a liquor store near my in-laws' house in Yokkaichi. They had an amazing selection of local sake! The owner was also very friendly (^^) It is a liquor store that I am totally sure to repeat. 750 ml (a bit much for me ☺️) for 2,035 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 60 Fruity aroma typical of Saku. The sweetness and richness first spread in the mouth, followed by the fizzy feeling of the original sake, and then a crisp dry taste after swallowing. Mmmm, it's good... The price is reasonable and this is a good buy. I would love to compare them with the other four in the Impression series! It's my favorite! I hope you all will too (^^) Postscript I tried it again several times, but for better or worse, it is too sweet! It might be a little hard to match with snacks. The sweetness also lingers in the aftertaste, so it may be a little too much for some people. It's still delicious, though.
