I have been buying various kinds of alcohol lately, but the pace at which I buy them outstrips the pace at which I drink them, and they just keep piling up. However, I think it is a good thing that I have a collection of them. I read my own evaluation of each sake and compare them. It was hard to rank them, but I thought they were all delicious in the end. My only concern is that I have to work tomorrow... (I'm paid to renew my driver's license today). But oh well, now that I've had some good sake, let's get back to work tomorrow!

998 yen including tax for 720ml. Inexpensive. Purchased on the recommendation of Sake Ojiro. Polishing ratio 50%. I drank it with no prior knowledge. Well, I tried it with no prior knowledge...! It's so bitter! LOL! What's more, it's spicy with umami! It is different from the dry, light, dry taste. I like sweet sake, but it's been a long time since I've had a level of dryness like this. To be honest, I wasn't sure if it was delicious or not. LOL! But I don't dislike it. The price is very cheap, so I would recommend it to anyone who likes dry! I'm curious about some of the sake levels... No repeats so far, but if you've had it and know of any sake or recommendations on how to drink it, please let me know!

Purchased at a very atmospheric liquor store called Tsujizen in Ibigawa, Gifu Prefecture. The price is 1,760 yen for 720ml including tax. Polishing ratio 60 Sake degree +4 I bought it because the label looks just like a mahjong player's "Iso Houou-sama" (a phoenix), and I was curious about it. I was curious to buy it because of its resemblance to the "Ichiso Phoenix" of Mahjong. It is dry with a slight fizziness. It is dry, but has a richness and umami. Hmmm, not bad. (Sorry for my bravado, but I'm not a big fan.) I would like to try this local sake again. I will buy it again when I see it.

Purchased at a very atmospheric liquor store called Tsujizen in Ibigawa, Gifu Prefecture. The price is 1,815 yen for 720ml including tax. Polishing ratio 55%. Sake degree -4 (according to the store's pop-up) First, the aroma. There is no strong smell. I tried to drink it. ...! It has a sweetness and umami, but the main taste is dry. But there is almost no thickening, and it is as smooth and crisp as water. I wonder why it is so easy to drink. It is very tasty, but the more you drink it, the more you feel that it has no peculiarity, for better or worse. (I can go on and on drinking it.) No doubt it's delicious, but it didn't really stick with me. However, it seems that this brand offers many other kinds of sakes, so I would like to try more of their other ones! I thought.

1,399 yen including tax for 720ml at a local trial. Polishing ratio 55 Sake degree -15 I was attracted by the sake degree of -15, so I bought it. (In addition, I bought a new set of chirori sake cups, so I wanted to use them...) ) I was told that it was super sweet, 3 to 5 times sweeter than regular junmai sake, and recommended for beginners, which raised the bar. Now it was time to try it. This is... Ahhh! It's so good! It has a great richness to it. My mother, who normally doesn't like sake, raved about how good it was! It is not too fruity, which I personally like, but you can taste the sweetness of the rice. My first impression was that it was a sweet wine. At this price, it tastes like a world-renowned sake! I can understand why they say "This is a sake recognized around the world! (Maybe it's the kind of award you can get if you pay for it.) The aori also says "Winner of the GOLD medal at the International Wine Challenge 2024 (Junmai Ginjo Sake category)", so I wondered if the sake tasted more like wine. I also thought it might have a wine-like taste. In any case, this sake is a hit with sweet sake lovers and beginners like me! I'm adding it to my favorites. I'm adding it to my favorites, and I hope you will too.

1,694 yen including tax for 720ml. This is an autumn limited model of Kurogyu. Polishing ratio: 50% for koji rice and yeast, 60% for kake rice Sake degree +7 Mmmm. It's good. Laughing... I thought it would be dry, but it has a strong umami flavor. No, it is dry, but not crispy dry, but dry with umami, which is typical of Kurogyu. Autumn swordfish, bonito, and green fish. Indeed, this may be a versatile sake that goes well with autumnal delicacies (fish (≠ snacks) in season). It is also inexpensive, so there is no harm in buying it. We hope you will try it, too.

We tried a Junmai sake this time from Fukuwagura (brewed by Imuraya of Azuki Bar), which was delicious the last time we drank it! 1,980 yen for 720ml including tax. Polishing ratio 60%. What's that? Not as good as the junmai ginjos and junmai daiginjos from Fukuwagura that we have had so far...! It has a sharp umami and sweetness. It's not just sweet (it's like a combination of dry and sweet). Very tasty! Considering the cost, this is the best solution! I highly recommend it to everyone! Naturally, I'm adding it to my favorites. Postscript However, Junmai Ginjo and Junmai Daiginjo are by far superior in terms of fruity aroma. If you want to enjoy the mellow sweetness and aroma of Fukuwagura, junmai ginjo may be better overall. In any case, you can never go wrong with this sake brewery.

Doburoku from Nakano Sake Brewery (Handa City) on the Chita Peninsula, my hometown. I had always been curious about it. A 720 ml bottle costs 1,630 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 65%. Hmmm. Sweet. It is delicious. This is doburoku. It has a sweet aftertaste. It went down so fast that it was gone in no time. The bottle has a simple design. I'm sure I'll be back for more. I can catch a lot of goby in the river behind Nakano Sake Brewery, so I'd like to drink it with tempura of the goby I caught next time. I think it goes very well with it. I hope you enjoy it, too.

I bought a bottle of Urakasumi Junmai sake, which I have been into recently. The price is 1,430 yen for 720ml including tax. Polishing ratio 65%. It is very easy to drink with a refreshing, easy-drinking sweetness that is typical of Urakasumi. It is also inexpensive. However, I think it lacks a bit of umami or depth, so I personally prefer the Urakasumi Honjozo Honjikomi. It is a good choice in terms of cost performance. It is a bottle for when you are in trouble. (Sorry for sounding so arrogant).

Souvenir of Hokkaido from my mother. (A pre-requested laugh. (A request made in advance, as it was recommended by my colleague Sakeoji.) 720ml, 3,060 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 55%. A pretty good price. He bought it at the Sake Museum. For a moment, I thought it was sweet, but it was dry with delicacy. Even though I like sweet sake, this is very good! I think it goes well with oily sashimi. Salmon, toro, etc. As expected, it is moderately priced, but if I ever go to Hokkaido, I will definitely repeat my visit. I hope you will too.

Souvenir of Hokkaido from my mother. (A pre-requested laugh. (A request made in advance, as it was recommended by my colleague Sakeoji.) 720ml, 2,860 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 55%. A good price. He bought it at the Sake Museum. It has a mild sweet taste! And not only sweet, but also umami! And it is very easy to drink, without the aftertaste of alcohol that is typical of sake! This is sake from the northern lands. As one would expect, it is moderately priced, but if I ever go to Hokkaido, I will definitely repeat my visit. I hope you will too.

Purchased at Yasudaya in the Kintetsu Yokkaichi shopping district. Hop liquor. 720 ml for 2,310 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 90 I drank it. This is terrible. What is this hop? LOL! The aftertaste is almost beer! But it's sake! It smells like hops too! Sweet, tasty, and hoppy! (Laughs) I'm basically a beer drinker, but I was surprised at the combination of sake and hops, and the possibilities it offers. It's like a bottle for when you're not sure what to drink. I hope you will try it, too.

Purchased at Yasudaya in the Kintetsu Yokkaichi shopping arcade. The price is 2,200 yen for 500 ml, tax included. Polishing ratio 90 The owner says that if you drink it thinking it has a great coffee taste, you won't feel much at first, but the flavor comes out in the middle, making the cloudy sake crisp in a good way. I thought it would be hot coffee, so I tried heating it up, but that didn't taste good, so I don't recommend it. Of course, I bought it immediately. I see...I see...I see. The aroma is definitely coffee milk lol. Just as the owner said. The first sip is a bit of a rush, as doburoku should be, but there is a slight coffee flavor. It refreshes the harshness of muddy sake. After the second sip, the sake goes on and on, perhaps because I had gotten used to it. The effervescent bubbles are amazing. It may not be for everyone, but I thought it was a sake worth trying at least once. If you have a chance, you should definitely try it.

Purchased a bottle of Urakasumi. The price was about 3,000 yen. Polishing ratio 65 It is more of a umami than a dry sake. It also has a hint of sweetness. Very easy to drink. Personally, however, I prefer Urakasumi Honjozo Honjikomi in terms of taste and cost. I thought I would try that one again next time.

Purchased at a liquor store in Tokushige, Midori-ku, Nagoya. The price is about 2,500 yen for 750ml. Polishing ratio 55 They have a good selection of sake. This time, I bought Saku Hiyayogoshi, my friend's choice. It is a dry sake with a thick and umami flavor. We had it with sea bream and raw oysters purchased at Isshiki Sakana Market in Nishio. Mmmm. I've been drinking only sweet sake recently, but this is good. It made me think that dry sake is also possible. It is very tasty and goes well with sashimi! But maybe I still like the sweet taste. LOL!

It costs about 1,000 yen for 720 ml. The label on the back says it has a fruity banana-like aroma. When I drank it... Too bananas! LOL. But it's also a little watery rather than thick. But it's good. It can be a choice. If you see it, please try it.

Buy a modern sake from Miyagi, Miyakanbai. The price was 1,761 yen for 720 ml. Polishing ratio 55%. Cost performance is excellent. It is delicious. Umami, sweetness, and thickness are in perfect balance. This is a definite favorite. I bought it when I visited my friend's house and my friend and his wife didn't stop buying more. Too bad there is no liquor store near my house that sells it. I would definitely buy it again.

Purchased on the recommendation of a liquor store. Local companies often buy them as souvenirs for their clients. It seems to have been made in collaboration with a sake brewer. It seems to have been made in collaboration with a sake brewer. There was a five yen in the must-have pouch. I believe it cost around 2,500 yen for a 720 ml bottle. Polishing ratio 50%. It seems to be named after its hometown, Kyowa, which has produced many gold medalists at Shigakukan, famous for wrestling, and Oishi Dojo, famous for judo. The taste is...ummmm. It is sweet, but also a little watery and tender. I have the impression that it is a little expensive in terms of cost. If you have a chance, please try it.
