First purchase at the famous Shusen-do Horiichi! 720 ml for 1,870 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 55%. The specs are the same as the hi-ire we drank the day before. This is a comparison with the raw sake. Hmmm... It is still good. Too good. LOL! Contrary to the calmness of hi-ire, the roughness, gassiness, sweetness, and bitterness in the aftertaste are in great balance. The price of 1,870 yen including tax is too cheap. It's hard to say which is better than the hi-ire version, but... I love nama sake, but the hi-ire version was easier to drink and I didn't get tired of drinking it! Repeat purchase is definite! On a completely different note, my wife has just started a sake review instagram (^^) Please follow us if you like 🤩@sake_fufu

Good evening, Masayama 😃. It's so exciting to see a famous liquor store 🤗 comparing draft and fire-brewed drinks! I wonder if even we can tell the difference 😅I'm not sure 😆. I like the straightforward naming of the insta-opening ㊗️ sake-couple👍

I've always wanted to drink this local sake, but what the heck, I drank it for the first time! 1,870 yen for 720 ml, tax included. Polishing ratio 55%. The aroma is very gorgeous, as it is a ginjo. It has a gorgeous aroma, and when you put it in your mouth, it is extremely sweet. Yet, it is refreshing and finishes gently. Typical sake with a pleasant aroma. If this is a junmai ginjo, what in the world is a daiginjo? It is a taste that would go well with an unfiltered nama sake.... This is my favorite and a hall of famer... It was delicious! It was a delicious sake that I could drink as much as I wanted! I hope you enjoy it too.

Have A Good Day

My friend bought it for me at a stylish izakaya called Have a Good Day in Tokushige, Midori-ku! I think it was a little over 2,000 yen for 720 ml. When I opened the bottle, it was so fizzy that it blew out. The aroma is so ricey! I drank it expecting it to be sweet...! ...! Delicious bitterness! Not sweet! I was surprised at my expectation. I feel that although it is a sparkling sake, it goes very well with sashimi and other dishes. As I keep drinking it, the sweetness of the rice? It gets sweeter and sweeter as you keep drinking it. As expected of Otters. Please try it if you see it in the market.

I passed the 3rd level of the Japanese Sake Proficiency Test (^^) I was aiming for 100 points, but I got 2 questions wrong... I'm disappointed, but I went to the liquor store as a reward for myself anyway! I tasted the sake recommended by the owner, and it was so good that I bought it. The price was 2,860 yen for 720ml including tax. The brewery was established by the younger brother of a toji (master brewer) from Daishinshu, Nagano. There are only 37 stores in Japan that carry it. The aroma is more of rice than fruity. The taste has a rough but rich sweetness and gaseousness that is typical of unfiltered, unfiltered sake. The most notable feature is the ease with which it passes down the throat. It is rough, but not sharp in a good way. This is my favorite sake and I would like to try many more in the future. Next time, I will aim for the 2nd grade ^_^.

Polishing ratio 60 750 yen in a large glass. The driest sake we have had in a long time. The aroma is also rice. Is it a so-called mellow sake? It goes really well with a snack of roughly simmered tuna. This kind of pairing sometimes makes me think that dry sake is good, too. Thank you very much for the meal.

First time drinking Tanaka Rokuugo! It is 900 yen for a large Gracchus Mottokiri. Polishing ratio 65%. The aroma is that of rice. The umami comes first and finishes with a sharp finish. It's mmmmmm. I can also feel the gaseous taste of nama-zake. I want to try other kinds of sake.

At my first liquor store in Tokai City. Purchased a sweet sake recommendation for his wife. The owner was very kind. 500 ml for 1,430 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 50%. The color is slightly yellowish and the aroma smells of ripe rice. Is it really sweet? And when I drank it... It's too thick! And too sweet! Is there really no sugar in this? It's so sweet! And it has a slight brandy taste. This is definitely a good one to eat over ice cream. I had imagined the slightly sour, elegant sweetness of Shinsei Hinotori, so I was surprised, for better or worse! The label on the back says it is recommended to be served on the rocks or with soda, and I can see why, it is so dark and sweet. The wife loved it, saying it was insanely delicious. My wife's original comment: "I like it because it's sweet. But it's not elegant because it's too sweet. It doesn't feel like sake. (She is praising it.)" I tried it on the rocks. It's so good! It's definitely better on the rocks. LOL!!! The ice moderates the too thick flavor and makes the drink more refreshing. It's too cosy and my favorite. I also found a matured version of the same Dewazakura kijoshu, so I would like to buy that next time. Thank you very much for the treat (^^)

Purchased at Okadaya in Meieki for the first time. The clerk carefully explained the sake to me, so even a beginner could feel at ease at this liquor store. The price was 1,980 yen for 720 ml, tax included. Polishing ratio 60%. I was excited because I have been a fan of Tenbi since I drank it at Hikarizo. The aroma is amazingly fruity. So-called "kapu" type? This must be very sweet! I thought so and drank it... Contrary to my expectation, it is not sweet at all! Not even spicy! But it has a sharpness! Is this what you call a refreshing sake...? It is bitter, but in a good way! It's like dark grapefruit juice! And, as is typical of nama-zake, there is a strong gaseous sensation. I feel like I was betrayed, for better or worse. I think it would probably go really well with carpaccio. I don't think it will become my favorite, but I think people who are into it will like it. Next time I drink it, I want to drink it with carpaccio. On a side note, I recently started studying for the sake certification test! I hope to weave in more and more knowledge that I know! Postscript I paired it with carpaccio! With the acidity of the carpaccio, the bitterness I felt yesterday turned into a calm sweetness that was not too sweet...! If you want to match it with carpaccio, carpaccio is a definite choice.

This sake is made by Tajima Sake Brewery in Fukui Prefecture. A friend of mine is a classmate of Mr. Tajima's from college and bought it for me as a souvenir directly from him (^^) Polishing ratio 65 He said it is recommended to be heated. When I drank it cold, it was dry but slightly mellow. Then I tried it hot. Hmmm. The mildness is gone and the sharpness is stronger! I feel a strong sharpness. Delicious. This sake made me feel the goodness of dry sake. I like cold sweet sake, but this was a reaction to that. I tried drinking hot dry sake as a reaction to that, but it was not bad. It was not bad at all. (^^)

This sake is made by Tajima Sake Brewery in Fukui Prefecture. A friend of mine is a classmate of Mr. Tajima's at university and bought it for me as a souvenir directly from him (^^) Polishing ratio: undisclosed Unlike the other two, the aroma is fruity! When served in a wine glass, hmmm...I see. It is not sweet. It is dry. However, although it is mellow, it is more floral than the other two. It was a sake that made me feel the goodness of dry sake. It is a modern type of sake. For those of you who like dry sake, please try it. (^^)

The aroma is just like old-fashioned rice! The amber-colored sake has a strong sharpness after the umami taste! The mouthfeel is the same as that of the original sake. I had it with my own ponzu (citrus juice ponzu sauce), and it went well with it. I think it would be a great match with sashimi. We hope you like it, too. (^^)

Polishing ratio 55 This is the first time I have had this wine. He who runs after two hares will get two hares I'm sure it's a good thing! (^^) A local sake from Aichi Prefecture. From the first sip, the fizziness and sweetness spread to the palate. And finally, it has a strong sharpness. This is delicious. I would like to try other kinds of sake.
