At my first liquor store in Tokai City. Purchased a sweet sake recommendation for his wife. The owner was very kind. 500 ml for 1,430 yen including tax. Polishing ratio 50%. The color is slightly yellowish and the aroma smells of ripe rice. Is it really sweet? And when I drank it... It's too thick! And too sweet! Is there really no sugar in this? It's so sweet! And it has a slight brandy taste. This is definitely a good one to eat over ice cream. I had imagined the slightly sour, elegant sweetness of Shinsei Hinotori, so I was surprised, for better or worse! The label on the back says it is recommended to be served on the rocks or with soda, and I can see why, it is so dark and sweet. The wife loved it, saying it was insanely delicious. My wife's original comment: "I like it because it's sweet. But it's not elegant because it's too sweet. It doesn't feel like sake. (She is praising it.)" I tried it on the rocks. It's so good! It's definitely better on the rocks. LOL!!! The ice moderates the too thick flavor and makes the drink more refreshing. It's too cosy and my favorite. I also found a matured version of the same Dewazakura kijoshu, so I would like to buy that next time. Thank you very much for the treat (^^)
