At a tavern I've never seen this label before, and when I looked closer I saw it was Hioki Sakura 😳. It's been a while since I've had a San-in sake 🍶. Cold sake Slight ginjo aroma. Sour and full-bodied, but with a cool, refreshing sensation. Mellow, rich and classic light type with lots of umami Served with deep fried yellowtail 😋.

Buy at the liquor store Time of year when summer sake is running low at all liquor stores ☀️ I happened to see it and bought it! Cold sake Elegant pear-like aroma Neither heavy nor light. Well-balanced umami and very easy to drink. The volume of the sake is slightly reduced, so it is light and easy to drink. We served it with white fish sashimi.

Curry and Pairing Sake #6 The last one is Tsuchida, which is officially announced as a sake that goes well with curry. There was a summer sake, so I chose that one. Unusually, they recommend cold sake or sake on the rocks! Cold sake Moderate aroma Slightly refreshing It is rather sweet. Characterized by the acidity that comes out gradually, and the aftertaste is tight. The acidity is more pronounced on the rocks. Perfect with summer vegetable curry If you drink it with spiced curry, the acidity of the sake may fight with it.

Curry and Pairing Sake (5) Purchased at a liquor store on the way back from a previous trip to Kitakyushu Cold sake Moderate in aroma. Classic light Smooth on the palate but with a strong acidity. Full-bodied like a sake yeast yeast yeast yeast The aftertaste is rather dry. Probably the best match for curry out of all the sakes we tried this time! Please try it with summer vegetables!

Cold sake Cool and refreshing aroma Apple-like acidity and elegant sweetness Stimulating and refreshing carbonation The aftertaste is crisp and clean. However, if you ask if it goes well with curry, it is subtle. The richness of curry and the acidity of sake are mismatched. It would go well with yakitori salt or bonito tataki.

Curry and Pairing Sake (2) Mutsu Hachisen, the first brand following #1. I've wanted to try Doburokku for a long time! Image of it selling out quickly🤔. I went to a liquor store I've been to once and they were posting their stock on instagram so I hurried 💨 Milky and slightly apple-like aroma Strong carbonation Slightly dry but rather mellow Very refreshing when you open the cork! It is truly a sake that can be enjoyed on the rocks. The mellowness may increase if you let it sit for a while before drinking. Personally, I think it goes better with sweet and spicy soy sauce or miso dishes such as yakiniku (grilled meat) than curry.

Purchased at a department store Goshin of Nara was there for tasting and selling. When I was in Kansai, I used to drink it often at izakayas in Nara 🤤. It's been a long time since I bought it. Cold sake The unique ginjo aroma of nama sake Crisp and refreshing Slightly dry taste with enough umami of rice. Suitable as a mid-meal drink and goes well with strong-flavored food. Akizuka may be a similar type of sake.
