Curry and Pairing Sake (1) Chochin was chosen as the first sake to pair with curry for a classic taste. Cold sake Moderate aroma Light in the mouth, but personally I think it is very dry. Tingling sensation after passing the throat rather than dryness. Characteristic dryness and slightly voluminous rice flavor lingering on the palate

It's been about 2 years since I came to Fukuoka from Osaka. I decided to make takoyaki after a long time I bought this takoyaki to go with the dish. Osaka is known as Akirika Cold sake. Light and refreshing at first. Strong rice flavor as you swallow. Fades quickly The aftertaste is short. This boldness went very well with takoyaki.

Purchased at a liquor store. Rare. Haginotsuru is popular for its cat label. This is the first time to drink it. Cold sake. The aroma is subdued. It has a smooth mouthfeel, and is a food-friendly sake that goes well with food, with a moderate assertiveness that I personally consider to be a characteristic of Miyagi sake. It is fresh, but not overly refreshing. The aftertaste is normal. Recommended for intermediate to advanced drinkers.

Purchased at a liquor store. As it is a zodiac label, there is no way for me not to buy it in the year of the dragon! Rare. Cold sake. The aroma is mild. Slightly light, calm and gentle taste. It has a moderate rice flavor and is best as a food sake. Classic light type. It has a moderate sharpness. We had it with kimchi nabe. Ideal with nabe dishes. Suitable for intermediate to advanced drinkers.

Purchased at a liquor store. Rarity may be higher in some places. At room temperature. The aroma is rather subdued. It has the umami and weight of rice typical of Omachi, but it is dry and has a good sharpness characteristic of Shinomine. It is classified as hiyaoroshi. It is good as a mid-meal drink. It is suitable for intermediate-level sake drinkers.

Purchased at a liquor store. The commemorative 400th check-in is a collaboration between Kamikame and Gamera. Is the rarity very high? At room temperature. It is heavy, but not as overbearing as the Junmai sake we had before. The acidity is strong. Slightly bitter aftertaste. When heated, the umami and mellowness spread to the palate. The aftertaste is very long. Best with nabe dishes. For advanced drinkers.

Purchased at a liquor store. Upon investigation, I found out it was a summer sake. It was the last bottle. The rarity is high. Cold sake. The aroma is gorgeous. The taste is crisp and light, but it has enough umami and sweetness unique to rice. It is so refreshing that I would drink it in summer. I drank it while thinking about the events of this summer. The aftertaste is normal. It is said to go well with ginger dishes and oysters. We had it with gingerbread. From beginner to intermediate level sake drinkers.

Bought at a liquor store. I bought it because of its beautiful and distinctive red color. I think its rarity is quite high because it is rarely seen. Cold sake. Mild sweet aroma. The acidity is like a rosé wine. It also has an astringent taste, giving the impression that it is a rosé wine. It was also rated like shiso juice. The taste is strong and punchy. It has a slightly light body and a long finish. Next, on the rocks. The assertiveness of the flavor subsided and it became very easy to drink. Personally, I recommend drinking it on the rocks. It is good as a food sake, but it might be better to drink with snack sweets. For advanced drinkers.

Purchased at a liquor store. Etsukaijin is a famous sake from Kagawa Prefecture. The rarity is quite high. At room temperature. Unique rice aroma. The rich taste is a mixture of umami, acidity, and richness from the Yamahai brewing process, with a very characteristic astringent taste. The texture on the tongue is unique. It has a thick texture, or to put it worse, a slippery texture. It seems to be a favorite of different people. When heated, the mild yet umami and astringent flavors gradually spread to the palate. The lingering aftertaste is quite long. Suitable for advanced sake drinkers.

Purchased at a liquor store. Shinomine is not easily found in liquor stores outside the Kansai region. I bought it because I had drunk it several times when I was in Osaka. I was going to buy summer sake, but they didn't have it, so I chose this one. It seems to be a year-round product. The rarity is a little high. You can see the stores that carry it on the official website. Cold sake. Aroma of mellow fruit. This sake is made from Omachi, commonly known as "Seto-Omachi," from Seto-cho in Akaban, Okayama. It has a heavy umami, which is unique to Omachi, and a surprisingly strong grapefruit-like acidity. It also has a nice sharpness. It also has a classic flavor characteristic of Nara's sake. It seems to go well with strong flavored food. It is a taste that is enjoyable for intermediate-level sake drinkers.
