Avoid super-hot sake for the first drink.
A cup with the sweetness of rice. A sake that everyone says is delicious, not too hot, not too sweet, but harmonious.
My colleague insisted on drinking a bottle of Jyushiyo. The price was eye-popping, but today we went all out as a parting gift. It is rather sweet. The balance is very good. It's delicious, but at this price, I can't afford it anymore.
Three types of Kanazawa sake to compare at a standing bar in Kanazawa Station. They asked us to drink the three types of sake, from left to right: Nama, Junmai Daiginjo, and Daiginjo. I think 3,000 yen is a bit expensive for this amount of sake. I think I prefer the raw one the best.
I didn't know that "super dry" is called "crispy dry". I never heard of it before. I haven't had sushi, but I finish it off crispy dry. I don't think it's super spicy though.
The third drink of the day. Probably my first sake from Hokkaido. It is said to be made from Hokkaido rice called "Ginpu". I wonder if the rice flavor lingers. I don't know, but 💦 it's an evolution of the traditional sake, with a dry, yet robust taste that lingers in the mouth.
The second drink was ordered because of the seasonality of the label. I'm recording this now, but I can't remember what it tasted like💦. So it's well-balanced and not too pompous💦.
The first drink of the day. I was told it had just arrived, so I ordered it without confirming my taste preferences. It was a light nigori with a slight fizziness in its youthfulness. I can't drink a lot of it, but it's nice because of its gorgeousness.
This is the second drink of the day.
Kudokitate was recommended to me when I was asked if I would like a dry one. The moment I put it in my mouth, I felt a stinging sensation on my tongue, but when I rolled the second sip on my tongue, a rich sweetness spread out. It is like having two tastes in one cup.
First drink at the usual Osada.
Nigorigo and slightly effervescent. It feels like a swish on the tongue. It's not so much sweet as crisp and masculine. Not sure if that's a good description 💦.
Let's finish with nigori, the popping of the bubbles is pleasant. It has a stickiness that clings to you, but it's not unpleasant. The fact that I was fine the next day even after drinking so much is proof that it is a good sake.
For my second drink of the day, I chose a heavier, more robust sake. It does not have a heavy and heavy feeling, but rather a sense of umami. The aroma is weak. It was in the mellow sake category at the store.
