Year-end party. The third all-you-can-drink party at Budouya in Mito. Although they served good sake, I drank too much and don't remember much of the taste. Only the pictures remain.
It would be rude to say that I couldn't get a bottle of Hanahayo, but I took home a bottle of Bunraku's light nigori instead. It has a refreshing sourness and bitterness, and is so easy to drink that a four-pack of it is gone in no time! It might be better than Sairai. At Sawaya
The rebranded Sentori starts with the modern. Not much nuance from the wooden vat, but modest ginjo aroma and light but flavorful sweetness and acidity. Delicious! I'll have to get the Retro and Classic soon. At Mekada-san.
This is my first time at Machida Sake Brewery. With its fresh fruity taste and refreshing gasiness, a four-pack bottle is gone in no time. By Yoh Takahashi of Maebashi.
I saw this sake at Awaya and bought it for the first time from Mr. Noriguchi. It is al-soju, so it is quite reasonably priced, but it has a taste that gives it a unique character. It is not gorgeous but not too classic, and its matured body makes me want a strong flavored entrée.
It is dry, gassy, and has a really delicious cider-like apple flavor. The unfiltered version is also good, but I prefer the purely gruel-like version. At Mekada-san
Murayuki Tokiwa after a long time. I bought a new shipment at Mekada-san. When I drank it earlier this year, the acidity was more pronounced, but this time the balance between the sweetness of the wasanbon and the acidity, which is typical of Murayuki, is excellent👍Tokiwa is still the best.
Early winter only. Unlike the black, it has a gentle sweetness. The body is not strong, but rather fluffy. The price of 1,540 yen including tax for a Junmai Daiginjo with 50% polished rice is excellent 👍Hashimoto-san.
Purchased at Pon Shukan on the way back from a business trip to Niigata. The freshness of new sake, the richness of orikarami, and the bubbly taste were delicious. Takachiyo is as always a good value for money.
Purchased both as soon as they arrived. I started with the unfiltered draft. The base of the taste has the usual Kangiku nuance. It is sweeter and more gorgeous. I would like to drink it all year round. At Masaiki
First time for me to drink Kagiya, first time for me to drink Matsuyama Mitsui sake. It has a strong sense of maturity and a flavor that is not gorgeous but very autumnal. At Masaiseki-san
It is a hidden sake that has been aged for 5 years in the brewery and is called Yamahai Junmai, so I expected a classic taste and drank it. It is clear, round, sweet, and has a nice sharpness.
The rice used is Miyamanishiki and Akita Sake Komachi.
Buy it at Hashimoto
The best cosmetics! I'm impressed that it's an old-fashioned Bodhi yeast brew with the fresh bubbles and aroma of a fine champagne, minerality, citrus acidity, sweetness, and dry sharpness. Try it at Mekada.
