I bought it at a sake brewery when I visited Kurashiki at the end of September. I did not know that there was a sake brewery in the Bikan Historical Quarter, so I was led into the store. I was asked about my taste in sake, and this is what was recommended to me. The aroma spread from the moment the sake was poured into the cup, the taste was full and thick with rice flavor, and the dry sake disappeared quickly and easily. The 500mL bottle size can be consumed in one sitting, which is just the right size for a sake that changes its flavor as time goes by.

The aroma is mild on the palate, and the flavor is somewhat nostalgic, but with a robust taste and a bit of character behind it. It was my first time drinking this sake, but I got the impression that it was a simple but very tasty sake I used to drink in the past. When heated up, the flavor became more mellow and different from that of cold sake. While everyone is trying to be modern and end up with the same old thing, this is a sake that is safe to drink and tastes like the old-fashioned way, I am thankful for the old-fashioned sake that I can drink with peace of mind. Although the type of sake is a little different, I felt happy to have found a new sake in the same Mie region as Miyamasugi, which I can no longer drink.
