Fushimi-ku, Kyoto Gekkeikan Co.
This is the second souvenir from my wife's trip to Kyoto!
I bought this sake as I was told by a store seller, but it was good...
I wasn't expecting much since it was a Junmai Daiginjo, but I was surprised at how good it tasted...
I thought it was just a mellow, sweet and refreshing sake...
I thought it would be a mellow, sweet and refreshing sake!
It has a slight aroma, and although it has a sweetness, it also has a firm umami flavor and is delicious with a sake-like feel.
As one would expect from one of the three major sake breweries!
It made me want to visit Nada and Saijo in various ways.
Visit to Gekkeikan
I went alone. I don't know because I looked lonely, but I had a dedicated guide who came with me and explained many things.
I was reminded once again that this is a very science-oriented company.
Yellow Cherry Blossom was like a general alcohol company.
Is the aroma stronger than Junmai Daiginjo?
It is more refreshing and easier to drink than Junmai Daiginjo.
Maybe I like this one better?
It is not heavy, so you can enjoy it easily.
It is also good to drink with a meal,
I think this one is better for the coming season.
Sweet aroma.
The aroma is sweet, and the nose is full of it.
You may feel a lot of alcohol.
The taste is strong.
Is the aroma stronger than that of Jungin?
It is interesting that the first sip is sweet, but the sweetness quickly disappears.
The fruity banana-like aroma is followed by a refreshingly intense spiciness and a light umami taste that lingers afterward. I was impressed by the fact that the taste never gets boring, as expected from a major company.
