I bought it at the Aeon system big. This is the first time I've had an Aomori sake. It's sweet but easy to drink. It's delicious. I'm happy to pay about 1,000 yen for a 720ml bottle.

Aomori's sake is hard to find locally🥺 I thought I'd have to go out of the prefecture or poke around, but my wife bought some at a department store that the clerk recommended. It's a limited edition sake made by Momokawa, a sake brewery near Hachinohe, using "Mashigura" rice grown in Oirase town and fermented at low temperature for a long time. When we drank it chilled, my wife and I said, "Wow, this is delicious 😆 ". Fruity, light and elegantly sweet😍. It's similar to the Mimuro Sugi's Grazie Airdio that we drank recently. It's easy to drink, even though it's over 17 degrees alcohol. There are many other good sakes in Aomori 👏 besides Denshu, Hassen and Toyoupai.

I bought it because of the cool bottle, the lettering, and the phrase "cold brewed, Shiboritate limited edition"! It's a freshly squeezed new sake that's only available once a year 💓. Right after opening the bottle, it's super fresh ⚡️I'd say it's light and dry, but still nenne and not enough 😅. On the second day, the richness comes out. On the third day or so, I think the sweet aroma finally started to stand out ✨But by that time I only had one more batch left 🤣. The result was a type that was hard to open, but I enjoyed it 🕺🎵.

Yamahai Junmai 🍶 Myo no Hana Ei Mie Prefecture pesticide-free Yamada Nishiki 🌾. Rather hard and dry. A little creamy on the back side. Spicy and sour. Sweetness is also felt by the sweetly seasoned Kanpachi Ara-ni. Shiso meat roll skewer softens the perimeter. The octopus ponzu ponzu (octopus potstickers) are hard to miss 😅. I see they have two brands, Myo no Hana and Ei 🧐. Umi to @Takadanobaba 20250227

Last week, I met up with a local friend for the first time in two years and we went to Ueno Castle together! On the way home, I remembered that Moriki Sake Brewery, which brews Rumiko's sake, is located in Iga City, so I asked them to stop by 🙏. I bought a bottle of Ei, which I've never had before, and was curious about its cool name 😂. The toji (master brewer) happened to be there and we talked to him about a lot of things! It was nice to meet him at the Takashimaya Sake Festival last week 😊. Cold sake Ripe pear, white dumpling and mineral aroma Calm impression Light acidity and round, full flavor Very well-balanced with a dry aftertaste

Risshun Morning Squeeze Series 🌅. I've already had this one lol My only daughter was so impressed last year that she missed the pre-order deadline and went to buy some but it's not there anymore: ‼️ This year I was able to buy it in the Ibaraki set✨

I've actually been intuitively curious about the "One and Only" series for a while now. I finally found the actual sake in the North Kanto local sake area at the store and had no hesitation in acquiring it ✨. When I opened the bottle and poured it out, the aroma was subdued with a hint of grain with a bit of acidity. The mouthfeel is soft and light. It has a soft, light, grain-like flavor, and a gentle, full-bodied taste. It has a full-bodied flavor that is sure to be enjoyed warmed, and a dryness that is refreshing and crisp. It's a great everyday evening drink with a great cosmetic value ✨. This softness, richness, and sharpness is a good balance that is also suitable for Fushimi sake! I'm also very curious about the most popular "Sayaka" 👐. I would love to try it if I have the chance...!

I thought it might be limited to direct sales, but I was able to buy it at a liquor store. If you go down the shopping street near Okamachi Station, you will find an old shopping center with a supermarket in it. This is a community-based liquor store that is housed in it. They carry a wide variety of sake brands such as Yukitsuru, Asakayousei, Katanozakura, Kaygetsu, Sakura Masamune, Ootsuru, Shiraoi, Haginoduro, Shikizakura, and others. They seemed to be putting a lot of effort into craft beer and wine. The rice is Gohyakumangoku and Koshibuki. The rice is lightly cloudy to the point of being orikara. Basically, it is spicy, but the entrance is clean, and it tastes good with a firm umami and acidity in the latter half.

Purchased at Takatsuki Hankyu. To be honest, they have a smaller selection of alcoholic beverages than Umeda Hankyu, but I think their lineup is more tasteful than Umeda. Umeda relies more on on-site sales. You can also buy Kuninonaga and Kiyotsuru at Takatsuki Hankyu. Grape and banana-like atmosphere. Not too sweet and spicy, but clear and beautiful. I wrote "clear," but considering it as a dry wine, I wonder if it is a mellow dry type. I said it was spicy, but there is a moderate amount of sweetness. It is a modest type of sake, but you can't go wrong with it.

There are only two sake rice study groups left. I've been posting them chippy-chippy, so my notes and my memory are no longer connected. But there is no doubt that they were delicious. The ninth bottle was Kami no Ho from Mie Prefecture. The first bottle was a Saku no Kami no Hoho, which got me hooked on sake rice, but it tasted completely different. The aroma is banana, I guess. It has a slightly sweet taste with a refreshing dryness from the microbubbles. It goes on and on... a never-ending type of sake. The next post should be the last in this study of sake rice.

Special Junmai Nigori Nama-zake🍶Kami-no-ho🌾 from Mie Prefecture. Seme smell, fresh✨, a little schwag. Sour and spicy. Mustardy 🙄 according to my wife. When paired with the koji-marinated squid (🦑), it takes the edge off and cozies up to you. The power of koji is amazing 😆. Looks like a new brand to be born in spring 2023. ☆☆☆☆☆ It has sourness and a little bit of miscellaneous taste or bitterness, then comes the sweetness or umami of nigori. It has a bitter, youthful taste that goes well with spring wild vegetables. The sweetness that comes afterwards is also youthful.

The last stop on our Nikko train trip was the real face of Katayama Sake Brewery. We visited the brewery and had a tour. It is a small brewery and the cold brewing process is about to begin. The brewer who guided us around the brewery told us that the sake is carefully brewed using the Sase method. The fourth photo shows the sake being squeezed in the vat. The alcohol content is 19%, so the sake has a certain weight, but I did not feel much alcohol. The Junmai is sitting in the fridge, so I am looking forward to that as well 😊. The light blue color with goldfish, fireworks, sunflowers, and wind chimes is cool, and the fluent white font further expresses the sense of sake. I imagined it would have a greenish smell because of the name "Numazu, Shizuoka," but it was crisp or smooth? But it was crisp or smooth? I was expecting it to have a greenish taste, but it was crisp and smooth.
