Our annual sake party 😁 today with three of us 🌸. My friend brought me this sake from Naito Brewery in Sobue, Aichi👍. It's very light and easy to drink. It has a dry throat, but not too much acidity, and you can taste the flavor😋. It's a great sake to drink with two great drinkers and it's easy to drink like water😝.

This is the third sake of a three-sake drinking comparison at THE CALENDER BIWAKO TOURISM, a standing drinking space that opened on 11/29 at JR Otsu Station in Shiga Prefecture. This is MONSOON, a kijo sake from the Laughing Season Sake Brewery. I love kijo sake. ☺️ Monsoon has three types of sake with different rice: Ginfukiyuki, Tamakoe, and Yamadanishiki, each with a different label depicting an artistic exotic beauty. This time we are drinking the Ginfukiyuki🌾 raw sake type. The aroma is gentle with a hint of sweetness. The rice aroma is also mild. I imagined it to be a bit more floral, but maybe that's because it's from the server. Smooth texture. The sweetness is fluffy, gentle, dark, and beautiful. The acidity is fine and gentle. The wine is smooth, flowing, and has a sharpness that seems to disappear without any change. The lingering finish is long and slightly complex. The taste perfectly matches the image of the woman on the label. It is sweet, but it doesn't linger, and finally disappears like a mirage. This is a bottle I would like to drink at home someday 🍶.

Thirty years ago, when I was a student, I went on a ski trip to Nozawa Onsen organized by a senior student. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I remember that a liquor store (Nagano store?) near Juonoyu was selling a set of three mini bottles of Unzan for 800 yen as a souvenir. Each bottle was no more than 1 gou, but it was a set of 3 bottles: Honjozo, Junmai Ginjo, and Harazake. I compared the sake for the first time with my skiing buddies. I compared them for the first time with my skiing buddies and found that my favorite was the Harazake. (I bought three boxes of it on my way home from a ski trip (lol). After that, I had several encounters with Unzan, and each time I bought a bottle of the original sake. This time, I was able to buy a fresh bottle that was only about a week old (although it has been open for about 2 weeks now). It has a slight effervescence. Tonight I'm opening a bottle of Sakurafukietsu🌸... a jun-dai (pure) draft sake from Kanemitsu Shuzo🍶, a local brand in our area. Kanemitsu Shuzo is a well-known brewer of Kamo Kanehide, which many people like... but they don't ship their Sakurafukietsu series outside of the prefecture? I've only seen it in my hometown or suburbs😅. Actually, this morning... I went to buy the Kamo Kanehide sake that is only available at the direct sales outlet... but I didn't expect it to be sold out 😨 I got the notice on line on Monday... I didn't expect the 120 bottle limited edition to be sold out on a weekday... 😂... 😂. I was shocked, but I bought it immediately 😨! I bought it at a sake shop in Kintetsu Department Store. I can't read "mother-of-pearl" 🤣I heard it is read as "Uzume", but if you type "den" for mother-of-pearl in your phone, it will come up 😁. If I lived a normal life, I would never use this kanji 😅. I got the impression it's a pineapple with a bit of bitterness 🍍. It was sweeter when I tasted it, so maybe it's sweeter after some time, but it's 500ml and I can't wait that long 🤣. Maybe the aroma is a bit peculiar.
