Downhill Sake Story Event 3) From the Itami Laematsu Sake Brewery, established in 1688, we drank "Laematsu" Itamigo Special Honjozo, a highly prestigious sake for the Shogun. It has the flavor of honjozo and a smooth throat. It is also good as heated sake. A joint sake brewing song was performed. The song was sung in slightly different tunes at each brewery. Today we are going out for a drink. This izakaya is a rare izakaya where you can eat a lot of vegetables 😁The sashimi is also reasonably priced with sea bream and swordfish. They sell vegetables, so they have a large selection of vegetable-based soft drinks. They mainly have local Shizuoka sake, but they also have a lot of Omuraya sake from the famous Omuraya brewery, which is famous for Wakatake and Onna no Nyokase 🧐 This is the first time I've had anything from this brewery. Today's sake was Oni Otome. I was in the mood for a sweet sake. The flavor was full and spreading. It is delicious 😋. We had it with sashimi, tempura, and meat rolls!

The first challenge for the first Bodai yeast sake is the sake from Nara, the birthplace of Bodai yeast 🕺🏻. Takacho 🦅❗️ from Aburicho Sake Brewery, well known for Kaze no Mori 🕺🏻. I got this one because it's only available in April! The label is so cool 👍! I thought it might be a bit peculiar since it's made from the Muromachi period, but it's not as sour as I thought it would be, and it's full-bodied and tasty while also giving off a unique flavor😳. I was expecting it to be a bit peculiar, but it was not as acidic as I thought it would be, and it was delicious with a unique flavor and richness 😳. It is rated -34 on the sake scale, but it is not too sweet and can be drunk easily 😋. Different from Kaze no Mori, this one was delicious too! I think I'll try another Bodai Hashimoto Sake 😋!

Kikusui Shuzo has been a customer of mine for the Kikusui Funaguchi Ichiban Shibori, which is available at convenience stores and supermarkets before I started using Sake No Wa. I remember that it was a pioneer of canned raw sake. I had it waiting in the freezer, but I didn't realize how quickly it would crisp up. It was hot, so I decided to finish it off with a dessert. I had the impression that it was a famous sake with a harsh name and a long history, so I thought it would have a strong alcoholic taste, but no matter what, it's very easy to drink. Purchased at the Shinsaibashi Takashimaya Department Store on the recommendation of a store clerk. Rice used is unknown. The richness of the original sake can be felt. It does not have much of a nama-zake character, and is clear and clean through the throat, making it a sake that you will never get tired of drinking. Because of its name, I had always assumed it was a sake from Kyoto.
