I was able to get some free time during the day, so I went to the gym and worked out for an hour, then went straight to the bathhouse and had a nice, wide bathtub, and then had a long-overdue dinner. I started with a beer and then opened a bottle of "Hanagaki Ginjo" that my father-in-law gave me for New Year's. After the refreshing sweetness that is typical of Hanagaki, the umami flavor spreads out, leading directly to the rich aftertaste.
