Following Hitogokochiki, this is a light nigori Yamae Nishiki.
When you open the bottle, it seems to be gassy. The aroma is quite mild and herbal 🌿 A sip and you can feel the chilli gas on the tip of the tongue, but there is a strong attack of fruit sweetness (dark cherry, orange, grapefruit, white peach) and it is so easy to drink and delicious with a fullness like a juice 😋😋😋😋.
The finish is bitter and crisp, as is typical of Yamae Nishiki 🙌.

Yamasan doesn't have any stores in Niigata that carry it either...or I don't think I've ever seen Nagano sake in Niigata? Maybe only wine places?
I was especially interested in this Yamane-Nishiki - Hitogokochi 🌾The first two that come to mind when I think of Nagano sake rice personally!

You can feel the mellow rice flavor that makes it hard to believe it's a daiginjo...Yamazan is good with all the different rice varieties, but this one is exceptionally delicious 😆.

It has a nice gassy feeling. It's been a long time since I've had a bottle of Shogou blow up. It is easy to drink and has a sweet, acidic, and elegant aroma. The umami is moderate. The sweetness is good and the gasiness is nice. The aroma is a little silverish and not too sweet. 88 points

This is your first Yamazan, Ueda sake.
It is totally different from the Kaze no Mori Alphadry that I had enjoyed until just before.
The stimulation on the tip of the tongue, the sweet mouthfeel when you swallow it, and the bitterness and pungency come right away. I can smell the oak aroma. In general, it is a very powerful sake. The acidity is weak in contrast to the alpha.
