White Peony Koihana RENKA
I bought this sake at "Jizakeya Ankuru" in Sanste, Fukuyama Station, because my parents are going to have fugu sashimi and fugu nabe (fugu stew).
I thought I would definitely like this one because it is made with white malted rice.
I think I forgot to take a picture of it! 😢
It is a muddy sake that has a delicious taste but leaves a strong dry, astringent aftertaste, a masculine product. It has a 21% alcohol content, but the alcohol is weak, so it seems to get drunk quickly. The rice is 70% polished, so there is some miscellaneous taste.

Slightly smells like old sake.
The mouthfeel is light, followed by a strong acidity.
Since today is a holiday, we prepared some bonito tataki as a snack!
The flavor and acidity of the old sake washed away the smell of bonito and it was delicious!
For fun, I also tried a glass of white wine!
White wine is no good.
It reduces the smell, but some of the flavors are so intense that both the sake and the snack fall flat!
