Nose: Fairly strong. From the glass, it has a heavy sweet aroma like dried grapes and cypress. It is stronger in the mouth. The lingering aroma is a little bit strong.
Taste: The sweetness is refreshing, and then the sourness comes out. The sourness is stronger than that of unsweetened Bulgarian yogurt.
Overall impression: Not bad. As the label says it is made with wine yeast, it tastes like white wine. If it were served as wine, some people might not notice it.
I like the strong acidity, but I don't like the strong aroma.
Purchased at Showagura, a sake tasting place in Kawagoe!
It was my favorite of all the sake I tried...well, I probably would have bought it without question even if I hadn't since it is made with wine yeast...w
Basically, it's an acidity-centered assembly.
The wine yeast flavor is sourness, followed by a light sweetness, and then the sourness finishes it off.
The aftertaste is not that strong, which is also a nice touch.
It's perfect for drinking in the summer!
It is also good for beginners of sake.
The sake is fire-aged, which makes it easy to carry and store, but I think it tastes better if you chill it thoroughly when you drink it!

Kamaya Co., Ltd. in Kazo City was also founded by an Omi merchant who moved to the area. Their main brand name seems to be "Rikishi," but they brought a different one this time.
◉Wine yeast brewed Junmai-shu ARROS
A modern sake with a light, sweet and sour taste, similar to a white wine. It's a bit like wine, but in a modern way.
I wish Rikishi could have tried it.

Kama-ya in Kazo City
I've seen ARROZ a few times at Aeon and Yamaya.
The traditional brand name is Rikishi, and if you search for it, there used to be a cup sake vending machine with Rikishi cups. I wonder if it was a big brewery?
Polishing ratio 68% Gohyakumangoku (Koji rice), General rice (Kake rice) Sake degree -33
11 degrees Acidity 6.4 1750 yen
According to the information I got, the rice polishing ratio is 60%, but the official site says 68%. The information is a little different from what I've seen before...
Sweet and sour.
It's like a typical wine yeast sake 🤔.
Participated in the Rikishi Kura Festival 2025! It is made with wine yeast and really tastes like white wine, but it also has a sake-like taste, so it was very easy to drink. ✌️
Hero was interesting and delicious, so I'm repeating Kamaya's brand: 🛍️
The refreshing acidity comes from wine,
The refreshing acidity comes from wine, while the umami and sweetness come from sake.
The sweetness and sweetness may be derived from sake, but it was sweeter and juicier than regular wine 🍹.
Looking forward to another sake challenge 🙏✨
I bought it at a special sale.
It was like white wine, sweet and sour.
It is not like sake.
But it is refreshing and delicious.
I felt like I got a good deal.
