I bought this Yanma-san on a trip to Niigata last year. It was sleeping in the back of the fridge. I think it must be a very rare sake. I have never seen it sold in Osaka. I opened the bottle and took a sip. It is a sweet sake with a thick texture and a strong aroma. I would rather drink it while eating than while drinking it with dry food or other snacks.
We visited Nadagiku Sake Brewery when we dropped by Himeji on a holiday weekend last week. The brewery is located in the city, south of Himeji Station. I bought this as a souvenir from a brewery tour. It is a fresh sake brewed by a female toji. To put it simply, it is like Kaze-no-mori without the shwashiness. It has just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. It was delicious!
Okan's present sake series. Today I chose Kikusui. I didn't know there was a Kikusui in Tosa. I didn't know that😓I expected some sweetness since it is a junmai ginjo, but it was very dry. Sometimes it is nice to drink sake at room temperature. It's a single-batch bottle, so it's easy to open 😄.
A drink at Fukushima's BAR Kizan-Un. It was a rare bar that anyone could enjoy, with carefully selected brands of sake and shochu as well as western liquors in general. The taste was clean and refreshing with a short aftertaste. (I am grateful to my senior in the industry for taking me there.
