Continued from the previous issue,
This is Tomikyunishiki.
This is a Banshu Namahashiro of Fukyu-Nishiki.
I think I was told at the brewery that this sake is aged for 7 years.
I was curious about it at the New Sake Festival, but didn't take it home,
I was curious about it at the New Sake Festival, but didn't take it home with me!
It has a yellowish hue.
Started at room temperature.
The top aroma is gently tinged with rice, mushrooms, caramel, and maybe a hint of spiciness.
From the mild mouthfeel, you can taste the soft rice and matured flavor flowing lightly. The aftertaste is light and refreshing, and the lingering aroma of maturity that lingers is irresistible, inviting you to have another cup.
When heated up, it feels like drinking white water, and you can drink it indefinitely.
I drank it with the cookies I had on hand 🍪✨.
To the loss of food waste...,
I mean, seriously, it's a loss.
But I got it at a good price.
Thanks to the supermarket 🙏.
I haven't had Tomikunishiki since my go-around sometime ago.
That day taught me how to make a good sake 🤔.
I'm glad I took the plunge and went to Tomikunishiki: ‼️
This time it is Junsei.
I brought this sake back from a recent trip to the new sake festival at Tomikunishiki in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Tomikunishiki has two types of sake: the standard Tomikunishiki and the new Junsei series, and this is the standard Junsei sake.
It is served cold.
The color is a light yellow.
The top aroma is moist with sweet, freshly cooked rice.
From the smooth mouthfeel, the aroma is beautifully citrusy with a hint of banana, and the flavor flows with a fresh acidity like that of young raisins. The aftertaste is smooth and clean, with a gentle astringency that allows you to enjoy the gentle aftertaste.
Ah, it is still delicious!
It is not gorgeous, but it is clear and full of flavor, and the beauty of the sake sinks in.
One sip and you will think of all the things you want to eat,
It is easy to see why Tomihonishiki is so particular about its position as a food sake.
And before I raise it to the sake crocodile...
Almost nothing 😱.
I finally got to visit the Tomikunishiki brewery, which I've been wanting to go to for a long time 🙌.
I'm glad the farmers market, easy-to-attend sake brewery tours, etc. were all part of the new sake festival that conveyed the thoughts of the brewers at Fukyu-Nishiki 😊.
And there's one more 💕
This is the second new sake I bought this year. Junmai Shiboritate.
Opened the bottle immediately. I thought it was sweet, clean and fruity at first sip after chilling it well, but it became spicier after a little while. It's delicious 😊I think it would be sweeter if I drank it with a snack.
17 degrees, it seems to be intoxicating.
I knew there was a new sake festival yesterday, but this year I moved it up a day because every year the cash registers are outrageous. I got two bottles of new sake. I usually don't buy nigori sake (I'm afraid of opening the cork), but this year I kind of did (I checked and I bought it last year).
I took my time and opened the bottle safely. I thought the aroma was yogurt-like when I opened it, but I guess I thought so because of the color. It's very effervescent, so it's very shiny and foamy. The taste is crisp and spicy, and I find it easy to drink. I am glad I bought it.
Today we came to the new sake festival at Tomihisiki's Fukurazan in the morning 😀.
Actually, the day we drank Shinmasa last week was the day we took delivery of our new car 😇.
Usually when Kaorin and I tour sake breweries, we walk, but today was our first drive in the new car 🤣.
Since I was the handle keeper, Kaorin was in charge of tasting today 🤣.
Kaorin said the new sake was fruity, sweet and delicious 😀.
Kaorin said it was fruity, sweet and tasty 😀 The brewer also said it had more sweetness and umami than usual 😀.
I bought 2 bottles of new sake nigori and new sake festival limited edition nigori, so I will enjoy them slowly at home 😇
Hello, Yasbay!
Congratulations on the delivery of your new car 🎉!
For once, it's all about the sake life on the road 😁✨✨.
A new sake festival at the brewery 🎵!
You're a master at sake activities at events like this 🤗
Hello Yasbay 😃.
Congratulations on the delivery of your new car.
I think the joy of driving a new car can be exchanged for the equivalent of holding back on alcohol 😆 And a new sake event, the best sake activity ever ✨.
Good morning, ma-ki-chan 😀
I did my duty as a handle-keeper while looking at Orin who was tasting the tasty samples 🤣.
I'm glad we drove here because there were also local farmers selling their products 😀.
Good morning, Hiro 😀
I always walk for sake activities and I was looking forward to looking at the timetable before departure to find out the schedule and walking route, so I still prefer not to drive... 🤣
I guess it would be better if we stay overnight 😇
Hi Yasbay 😃.
Congratulations on the delivery of your new car 🚗㊗️🎉!
I don't have much of an image of a car 🧐I thought it had an engine for Mr. Yasubeye as he goes around the breweries on foot 😄 fueled by sake 🍶😆.
Hi Jay & Nobby 😀
If your fuel is sake, you're going to have to stop here and there and get pretty bad gas mileage 🤣.
I was fine without a car for almost 2 years after giving it up because my previous roadster was completely impractical 🤣.
Congratulations on your new car, Yasbay 🎉🚗.
It's hard not being able to drink, but driving a new car is exceptional 😊👍Additionally, it's hard to get to the warehouses here without a car 💦The weather was perfect and it was a perfect day for a drive 🙂🙂.
Good evening, Yasubeyesan. I also went to Tomikunishiki after Yasubeyesan. It was a lively festival and all the drinks were delicious and fun 😊It's a perfect day for a new car drive to see the autumn leaves 🍁.
Hi Pon 😀
I think I might prefer tasting new sake to driving a new car 🤣.
I was jealous seeing Kaorin drinking it so deliciously 🤣.
But maybe it was the right choice to drive because the brewery was like a neighborhood produce market 😀.
Hi Hirupeko 😀
It was fun selling not only sake, but also agricultural products and many other things😇.
As I couldn't drink alcohol, I had to endure by drinking non-alcoholic amazake 🤣.
Sake Go Around Kobe ⑥
We arrived 10 minutes before the first round because we were told it was a popular restaurant and we should get there early by other participants 😀 We arrived just in time for the first round.
The sake was a draft from KEG DRAFT, so I didn't have a picture of it, but this was an extra glass, and the brewer recommended a dry one out of about 5 different kinds 😀.
Both sakes were delicious 😋.
Osakasake Square 2025②.
Next is Tomikunishiki from Hyogo. Fu." which I drank before was very delicious.
This time I chose sparkling.
It is nice! It is very shwashy.
The taste is not sweet at all, but it gives a Japanese impression, as if the sake were sparkling.
The label is pure white. I wondered, "What's really going on here?" I searched for the label on the Internet and found it to be pure white (lol).
And the price was 4,950 yen. Wow!
