Tenma Taishukai 2024 ④ The day before, I tasted Sakakamatsu from this brewery at a liquor store in Ikuno Ward. He asked me if I was going to the Tenma Sake Festival. Second stop on the Takayama sake brewery tour. We visited Funasaka Sake Brewery. As usual, the tasting machine took care of us. I chose a junmai ginjo that seemed to suit me from the description. It was described as sweet, but I got the impression that it was medium sweet with no fruity taste. I wonder if it would be a sweet sake in this brewery's lineup? It tasted crisp.

Get it at "Marugoto Kochi" in Ginza, Tokyo❗️. I had never heard of this brand before, but it was delicious ❣️. The rice used was something from Kochi Prefecture. Second day of Kochi Night. The cab driver told me that Hirome is good, but for bonito, I should go to Matsuri Jaya. He advised me to go to Matsuri Jaya for bonito, as it has a good selection of alcohol. So we went to Matsuri Jaya. At first, we started out with regular sake, just like a normal drinking party in Kochi. The staff at the restaurant recommended various temperatures for drinking. I stopped by Hashimoto Sake Brewery on my way to Yamanaka Onsen last year. The store is a bit like a museum, and you can learn a lot from the easy-to-understand explanations about the rice polishing ratio and the process of making sake. I was not able to taste the sake because I was the handle keeper, but the president recommended a lot of sake and my family was getting drunk (sweat). I drank it cold, but it was still dry. When I heated it up, it became soft, mellow, and easy to drink. The color is quite amber, so the polish may be shallow. Personally, I think drinking it at room temperature or hot is the right way to go. I like to drink sweet sake cold, but I'm starting to think it would be nice to drink dry sake hot ( ˘ω˘ ).
