I opened a bottle of "Hokuto Zuisho", a souvenir from my recent business trip to Hokkaido, which I purchased at a liquor store in Kitami called "Mayanagi Sake Shop"! My business trip was via Sapporo, Obihiro, Kushiro, Nemuro, Abashiri, and Kitami (Memanbetsu Airport) on my way home. Naturally, I went to an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) on the way, but I decided to limit myself to sake from Hokkaido, so I had a bottle of Nemuro's "Kita no Katsu Shiboritate" in Kushiro. I asked for a recommendation for sake from Hokkaido and was recommended "Kaminokawa Taisetsu". However, I had drunk it some time ago, and after much deliberation, I chose "Hokuto Zuisho," which I had never heard of, and it turned out to be the right choice. It is a beautiful, well-balanced sake with a slightly sweet, fragrant, and crisp taste. It is made from Hokkaido rice, with a rice polishing ratio of 45% and an alcohol content of 16%. Delicious!

Get it at "Marugoto Kochi" in Ginza, Tokyo❗️. I had never heard of this brand before, but it was delicious ❣️. The rice used was something from Kochi Prefecture. It has a fresh citrusy taste like a fresh sake, with a rich mouthfeel, but it goes down smoothly. The aftertaste is clean and crisp. If I had to say something, I would say that I would like a little more sweetness, but it is just right for light drinking.

At first, we started out with regular sake, just like a normal drinking party in Kochi. The staff at the restaurant recommended various temperatures for drinking. Origin of the name *From the label The name "Two Hundred Eighty-eight Nights" comes from the fact that it took Mr. Takakura 288 days from rice growing to sake brewing in 1999, and Mr. Uno, who inherited his will, brewed it faithfully according to his teachings. I didn't notice any particular aroma after opening the bottle, but it had a refreshing-like feeling. The refreshing taste on the palate reminds me of a beautifully dressed young lady in summer clothes with a crisp and refreshing mouthfeel 😍.
