Sake tasting set from Shodoshima Sake Brewery, the only sake brewery on Shodoshima. The store was stylish, with a varied lineup, as if it were a newly rebuilt brewery. As one would expect from Shodoshima, there were four olive yeast sake tasting patterns. They all have a slight greenish tint to them, but olive has nothing to do with it. My favorite was the Junmai Ginjo "NAGARE". ⭐︎:3.5

Trip to Shodoshima Island! First sake from Kagawa, "Ayagiku sanuki olive". I was told that they use olive yeast, which is typical of Shodoshima, and the aroma certainly has a very organic, earthy flavor. It smells like a mixture of banana and pear.
