Tetorigawa Junmai Daiginjyo Nama-Nagara Sake Hyakumangoku No Shiro Tetorigawa after a long absence. The rice used for this sake is "Hyakumangoku No Shiro", a new sake rice from Ishikawa Prefecture. The quality of the sake is clear with low protein content. It is a bit sweet, but has a good amount of gas and a sharpness at the end. Good for an aperitif.

HIROKI Junmai Ginjo Black Label We had a sushi dinner party at the office, and after much agonizing over which sake would go best with sushi, we settled on Tobiroki's Black Label. Not too sweet, elegant and juicy. It's still delicious! It goes well with sushi! (Sorry, I'm an Aizu fan!)

Takachiyo59 Junmai Ginjo Morinokuma-san Takachiyo59 was given to me by a former boss in Kanazawa. The rice from Kumamoto, Morinokuma-san, has a delicious sweetness, It's juicy like a pineapple and has just the right amount of gas. I know how I like it. It's so good 😆.

Atago no matsu Junmai ginjo Hitonatsu no koi This is actually my first Hitonatsu no Koi. I've seen it every year, but the cute heart on the label put me off, thinking it must be very sweet, but it's delicious! It has the meloniness, freshness, moderate acidity, and sharpness at the end that is typical of Mr. Arisawa. This is truly a summer food sake 🙌!

Eikofuji Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake, Mori no Kumasan Morikuma-san 2025 in support of the reconstruction of Kumamoto Castle. Sweetness, umami, and lactic acidity from 50% polished Kumamoto rice, Morinokuma-san. Not too sweet with a slight effervescence and a final sharpness. Fruity juicy, not like the usual Eiko-Fuji, but delicious👍.

Hamamusume Iwate Limited Edition Junmai Ginjo-shu First time drinking Hamamusume in a while. The last time I drank Junmai sake, I commented that it was "exactly AKABU's Junmai sake", but this one is fresher than AKABU's Junmai Ginjo and has a good balance of sweet and acidic tastes. Oh no, it's delicious. I like it too much 😫👍.

Akagisan Kasumisake Junmai My first Akagisan, which I bought in a packet because it was so cute. I expected a sweet sake with a slight hazy ooze, cherry blossoms and pink bottle, but there was almost no sweetness. I googled it and found out that it is "a brewery that has been consistently producing dry sake since its establishment and has become a man's sake" 👦🏻

Kameizumi Junmai Ginjyo Nama-no-Harazake CEL-24 Tosa Urara My favorite Kameizumi CEL24 "Tosa Urara" from the different rice series 🍶. The pineapple juiciness of the CEL-24 yeast, the fresh gasiness of the raw sake, and of course the sweetness, but with a nice sharpness at the end. I still love it.

LaJomon Epoché Nama Sake I managed to buy a bottle of Lajomon Epoché 2025 Nama Sake🍶. This balance of grapey, sweet, sour and bitter is just amazing. I would like to serve this sake to all sake lovers and beginners. I couldn't stop drinking it and finished it in one night 💦. Delicious, too delicious 😫. Definitely No. 1 for the first half of this year!

Koei Kiku Twilight Orange 2025 Unfiltered Nama Sake Koei-Kiku was recommended by Kumagai-san at Lajomon. The label and the name may have been a bit of a misnomer, but the orangey fruitiness and sweetness with a final grefleur of bitterness that is typical of Koei-Kiku. It's really delicious! I finished it immediately!

Gakki Masamune Kozo Kozo Omachi I was so worried about the bottle I bought at Hasegawa Sake Brewery in the basement of Tokyo Station that I had to choose one. The No.1 wine of 2025 was decided at New Year's this year! The soft taste of rice, sweetness, and gaseousness that is typical of musical instruments gradually spread from the soft mouthfeel to the palate. Delicious👍!

Lajomon Kazanzan-zosen Tokubetsu Junmai Sake This is the second year of Kazanazumi. Like last year, it is easy to drink and has a good acidity that goes well with any meal. It has a white wine-like fruitiness from the white malted rice and a banana-like flavor from the iso type yeast No. 6, making it extremely delicious. I like this year's version better!

Arikato Junmai Daiginjo This is a limited edition sake from the Fuji Shuzo brewery of our favorite Eiko-Fuji. It doesn't have the gassiness of Eiko-Fuji, so the sweetness stands out a bit, but it's still juicy and gorgeous. It's delicious 😊Arikatou!

Snow Storage Daiginjo A senior colleague of mine gave me a bottle of a sake he's been into lately to try. As the description says, the tank was buried in the snow to mellow the flavor, the ginjo aroma is subdued and the taste is mild with strong acidity. On the second day, the acidity settled down and it became even mellower.

Hakurakusei Aravai Junmai Daiginjo 2025 I wonder if a month has already passed... I remember how much fun I had at ARATSU... and I'll try this year's Hakurakusei x ARATSU 🍶. It has a subtle sweetness, freshness, green apple flavor, moderate acidity, and a sharp finish. It has a moderate sweetness and is perfect as a food sake 👍.

Tasyu Junmai Daiginjo 40%5 Momota Tasake can given as a souvenir by a customer from Aomori Well, it's just as they say! The aroma of ginjo really spreads the moment you open the can. The juicy fruity aroma of Tasake is combined with the gorgeousness of Daiginjo, and I finished the 180ml in no time at all. Delicious 😫👍

The taste of each rice field is different, even for the same rice called "Gohyakumangoku"...

Suirou Ginjyo Super Dry The first "Suiroku" given to me by a relative. It is not so dry as to be called "super dry" and is not so gorgeous as a ginjo, but it has a good balance of subtle amino acid derived umami and a nose-pleasing aroma that makes it easy to drink. This kind of sake is good sometimes 😊.
