First, we went to the knee of "Akagi Mt. Ota and Kiryu areas. Akagisan sake, such as sake lees and sake with gold leaf, which are only available this time of year, were on sale, so I picked up a few things.
I also finally got a bottle of "Taiheiki no Sato," a brand of Gunma sake that I have not yet had, so you will have to wait for delivery to enjoy it.
Next is the fire-brewed Omachi (on the right), which I had previously acquired and drank.
Compared to the nama-shu, it has a more rounded and mild touch. It has a rich and full-bodied Omachi graininess. It has a dry, crisp sharpness that is typical of "Akagisan". The balance of the umami is elegant and delicious, and it can be drunk calmly. It was interesting to see the difference between the two ✨.
Today we spent the day touring around Gunma!
My destination was the only unexplored area in Gunma, Tamamura, and of course Mt.
It was more like a walking tour than a sightseeing tour from Ota to Tamamura to Takasaki, but it was a good exercise to move 20,000 steps while procuring various things (to be continued next time)
Then we went to the usual tasting corner!
We started with the "Akagisan" series.
The aroma is both deep and fresh, with hints of apple yogurt and melon.
Slightly petite mouthfeel. A balanced sweet and sour taste with the beauty and density of an apple with honey. The taste was sharp and crisp, typical of "Akagisan"✨.
Happoshu (sparkling sake)
Alcohol content is between 11 and 12 degrees Celsius
Sweet, muscat-like flavor
Because of its effervescence, it is refreshing to the taste buds.
The aftertaste is slightly bitter and crisp. Sake is truly a wonder to be able to taste both sweetness and crispness.
It was delicious.
Next is a limited edition Akagisan (Mt. Akagi) that was obtained through a "hometown tax payment.
When the bottle is opened and poured, it has a clear and gorgeous aroma with acidity, like yogurt and berries.
The mouthfeel is glossy and light. When tasted, it has a gentle peachy sweetness and a slight rice flavor that expands slightly in the depths. However, it also has the freshness and sharpness typical of low-alcohol Akagiyama, and if you are not careful, it will flow down your throat in an instant.
While the standard honjozo (men's sake), this one is a woman's sake, with a crisp, gentle, and soft taste ✨.
I am now in a better mood and realize that the end of the year is near.
I'm going to feed my energy well today👍.
I bought it because it was the first Akagisan I had seen.
It has a clear, refreshing mouthfeel with very little alcohol.
The rice flavor on the tongue is also nice.
It tastes like sake, but I had the impression that the dryness would follow after drinking.
I think it would be the best match with crab innards, ankimo, albacore, etc. at Hafu Sushi...(personal opinion).
Junmai Ginjo🍶Unfiltered Nama Sake✨
Crisp, sharp and clean. The finish is dry with a sweetness to it. The shrimp and wasabi greens with sesame paste add a little more sweetness and comfort 👍Wow, that dog is so cute 😍.
