Second bottle of sake subs for February.
Your well
Sweet. I think it's tasty, but the sweet aftertaste is a little persistent for me as a spicy person.
The day after the Kyoto Marathon, I went sightseeing in Kyoto (Ryoan-ji Temple and Nijo Castle) for a bit before heading home.
I like to eat ekiben on the Shinkansen. I like to eat ekiben on the Shinkansen. It is delicious, and goes well with the dish. The mixed rice with spicy sansho (Japanese pepper) is also delicious.
Kyoto sake is sweet, so it doesn't seem to be a good match for me, but this time, the "Kyoto sake is delicious" is even more so in my mind.
Maybe it's because it goes well with the food.
Maybe it is because I used to drink Shochiku Ume a lot, so I feel familiar with it.
I like Kyoto sake!
Finished Kyoto Marathon in the rain!
Afterwards, we went to the hot spring "Tenzan-no-Yu" to heal our bodies. Beer and edamame for now.
We found an izakaya near the hotel and decided to go there for dinner, but it was closed. We googled another izakaya and found a supermarket. We were tired, so we decided to go to the supermarket.
I bought kinpira (fried bamboo shoots), char-grilled chicken, takoyaki (octopus balls), and "Eikun", and had a party in my room.
Eikun was delicious.
I always thought there was something wrong with our Valentine's Day system.
I get chocolates from my wife and daughter.
→I don't eat much chocolate.
→My wife and daughter say, "If you don't eat it, we'll eat it.
→I gave them chocolates, so they will give me something in return, right?
→3/14 I took a detour to Lindt on the way home from work, it's quite expensive.
But this year, I received a bottle of sake. I'm so happy and it's delicious.
Sake subs February delivery arrives.
Jomon Lover
I didn't know this brand (I didn't see it registered in Sake no Wa either), but it's delicious.
The URL "Taste Data" allows you to compare your own taste and smell with those of others who voted for the best sake. Does that mean it's the right sake for me?
This is the third bottle for January delivery. It was February when I chose a day when I could drink slowly. With Ebomaki (rice wrapped in a bamboo leaves).
This one is too sweet. The January results of the sake subs I started in January are 2 wins and 1 loss. I think it's a good thing that I'm winning. I'm looking forward to February's sake.
Yahiko Ordinary Sake -Kyoku (Yahiko Ordinary Sake -Kimoku)
I drink keg sake every New Year's at my parents' house, but this year I missed out. When I saw it on sale at a nearby Wellsia, I bought it immediately.
I'll try Kubota Hyakusyu next time.

This is the second sake received by subs in January. I think I had had this one before. But still.... Delicious. As I said, it's fun to drink a variety of sake. No disappointment so far.

I try not to subscribe as much as possible, but I think it's wonderful to encounter a new sake every time, so I get into sake subs.
I open the package with anticipation. There is no explanation on the package, so I use the QR code to find out what kind of sake it is!
Takano-i.
Hmmm... I used to drink this sake every day... Where is this new encounter?
But I realized again that it is a delicious sake.
One of the interesting things about "sakepost" is that you can post your taste sensations. There are several options, and you can choose the one you think is closest and compare it with other people's impressions.
I like it because it trains me to focus more on taste, as I am not a taste person.
I ran out of my usual sake, so I went looking for sake at Lopia, looking for something cheap and tasty that I hadn't had yet, and ended up buying it because of the word "daiginjo".
I don't particularly like daiginjo.
I like junmai sake.
I regret it after a long time.
Why do they give it such a sweet taste?
It's supposed to be a daiginjo, but too much brewing alcohol has been added, and it doesn't have that refreshing taste that is characteristic of daiginjos. It must be a strategy to sell cheap sake by fishing with the word "Daiginjo". Too bad.
Special Junmai Sake
The seventh drink of the Japanese Sake Festival. As I was holding a kiritanpo hot pot, I was offered a junmai sake, saying, "This is the one that goes well with it. I knew it would be this one. I knew it was good, but it was still the best sake of the day. 1 hour had passed and there was still 1 hour left until the end of the festival, but I was satisfied. Satisfied.
Sitting on a bench in the distance, watching the Sake Fes still in full swing, I reflected on the day's events.
It was fun, wasn't it? A reminder to enjoy the next one even more
I would like to come again, but I think it's better to come with more than one person. It's hard to wait in line. I'd like to come again, but I think it's more fun to come with more than one person.
I saw in the pamphlet that there were sake tasting booths. I think it would be better for me to compare the sake at the heated booth as a heated sake lover.
I think it would be more fun to take pictures with sake bottles.
Bring water to drink.
It is also important to have a strategy in advance. Decide in advance what sake you will drink and get a pamphlet to help you decide on a detailed strategy.

Special Junmai Sake, Sake Degree +2
This is the sixth drink of the Japanese Sake Festival. This is not a pioneer sake, but a sake that I know is good, but I want to drink it. It's just plain delicious. The waitress recommends heating it up. I guess people who like heated sake like sake that tastes good even when heated.
I had it with kiritanpo hot pot. It's so good. The sweetness of the soup, the bitterness of the vegetables, and the texture and flavor of the kiritanpo. Another sip of sake. Delicious.
My poor tongue can't describe the subtle taste of sake in detail, so this is just a food report. But my way of drinking is to eat as the main course. Sake is my companion (and of course, an indispensable companion), so I am thankful that I was able to enjoy the delicious food. (I did splurge quite a bit, though.)

I don't like Hiroshima sake because it is too sweet, but since it was a popular sake that I had never tried before, I couldn't resist tasting it. I chose my favorite, Yamada Nishiki. It was sweet but refreshing.
The snack was iburigakko (pickled ginger). I don't really like it, but it goes well with sake, and I decided to try it for the first time in a while, so I got in line. Strangely enough, it is the longest line. While waiting, I sipped a small glass of "Ryusei". The wait is so long that we run out of sake.
Finally, we get it. I take a bite of the pickled squid and a sip of sake. Yes, it tastes like this, well, it's takuan and cheese. No big deal...it's good. I don't remember it being this good! It goes well with sake. It goes well with sake. No, it's good.

Junmai-shu, unfiltered raw sake, Sake meter -1
Fourth sake of the Japanese Sake Festival, one of the most anticipated sake. With seared sushi (marbled).
A sip of Chiyomusubi. Hmmm...this is a strange sake. It has a different character from the sake I've had before. I'm not sure how.
The marbling is delicious, but I think the blush is better by a small margin.

Junmai Ginjo Hiyahoroshi, Sake Degree +1
Mugi-cha to cleanse the palate (I took some mugi-cha out of habit, but I'd rather have water).
The third drink of the Japanese sake festival was Ryuriki, served with Omi beef seared sushi (red meat).
First, a sip of sake. Wow, it's a mild sake.
I took a bite of the beef sushi and said, "Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
I haven't had much meat sushi because I thought it was an evil way to eat, but I can enjoy the taste of meat in an elegant way. Another sip of sake.

Junmai Ginjo
The amount of sake to be tasted is about half of a cup. I felt it was not enough, but I guess it's a good amount to drink a variety of sake. The second sake at the Japanese Sake Festival. Shikai-oh.
Hmm? Hmmm. The taste was blurred by the strong impression of the previous sake, wasn't it? I took a bite of oysters I bought at the next booth.
Yum!
Then I took a sip of sake. This makes me happy.

Ginjo-shu Sake, Sake Degree +4.5
Attended a sake tasting for the first time, which I have always wanted to visit. It was a beautiful day. Looking forward to drinking a variety of sake. After registering, I was given a plastic tasting glass. I had already decided which sake I wanted to drink, but after looking at the pamphlet, I decided on the order in which I wanted to drink the sake, starting with those that seemed light in taste. The first one was Sawahime. Fruity and delicious.

A walk & a light drink with local old guys.
We ordered a set of three different kinds of sake (Otokoyama, Shirayuki, and Ginban). The last one was Shirayuki. I like this one the best. It was getting cold, so I wanted to drink it lukewarm. I had it with a set of smoked snacks.

We ordered a set of three different kinds of sake (Otokoyama, Shirayuki, and Ginban), the second of which was Ginban, a sake I had never tried before. It was my first time to drink sake. It was refreshing and tasty. Chip and fish as a snack. (I wish I had more snacks to go with the sake...)

I went for a walk and had a light drink with some local old guys.
Among the beer and highball sets, there was a sake set that included a sake comparison, which we ordered. I like Hyogo sake, so I was happy to order three different kinds (Otokoyama, Shirayuki, and Ginban). I was wondering if I had had this before, but I think I had drunk Otokoyama in Hokkaido before. I would like to compare them next time.
