firmly dry (taste)
Slight aroma, smooth attack. The taste is firm and dry. It goes in smoothly and has a dry richness.
Rare sake to be served at room temperature. I want to drink it slowly 🤔.
It was recommended to us by a liquor store owner who regularly ranks it No. 1 in the Ponshukan and has a good reputation among customers. It is indeed an easy-drinking, regular sake with a delicious aroma that stands out even when chilled.
The one that was Ponshukan #1.
The polished glass image of the cup is reflected in the taste, which is wonderful! Round, not sweet but gentle and refreshing. It is round, not sweet, but gently refreshing, with a slight aroma.
I thought it was sweet and floral, but the aftertaste was a bit heavy and delicious! Easy to drink. I heard it has a buttery aroma if you let it sit for a while.
The first sake I ever drank was a three-star sake from Shibarihizuru, so that has become my standard for sake. In that sense, this sake is very close to the standard, watery and easy to drink. I think Niigata has a strong individuality because I can feel that way even when the sake is unpasteurized.
