I need to open up some fridge space for the sake I ordered for New Year's.
Consumed from a bottle that has been in there since June! Halcyon.
One of my top favorite Koei Kiku, I missed out on buying it last year and didn't get to drink it.

I had seen it the year before last and was curious about it but couldn't buy it. Last year I asked the liquor store but they said they didn't have it in stock, so I couldn't drink it again! I went straight there and got it after 2 years!
The smell is mild, like peaches and apples.
I can't describe the taste, but it's "beautifully delicious".
As the name suggests, close your eyes and drink it, the juicy flavor will fill your mouth and you will want to drink more.

My daughter went to Hokkaido for her honeymoon and sent me a bottle of Kochira for my wife and a bottle of Umeshu from there.
It has a nice, unobtrusive smell.
I thought it would be dry, but when I sipped it, the fruity soft sweetness and bitterness came and went, leaving a lingering feeling of alcohol in my chest. It is a beautiful sake.

I went to the cashier at my usual liquor store with a bottle of Anastasia and asked if they had a 4-pack of Ikubou. He asked me which one I would like. I was told that they had both ice-aged and new sake, and when I said "both," he laughed and said, "That's right, isn't it?
I drank a bottle of self-matured Ikubou in March of this year, which was very tasty, and it was the same one as that.
It has a little gas, round sweetness, and exquisite acidity.

I found this at a liquor store during Obon and thought it was the sake that J&N had posted the other day. I asked the store about the sparkling sake, but they didn't have it, so I took this one home.

I went to my usual liquor store and grabbed three bottles of what I wanted, and when I muttered that I wanted to try this one too, my wife said she would buy it for me as a birthday present.
It is a sake from the annual New Sake Competition.
It was a beautiful sake with a refreshing acidity and sweetness, and although it was 17.5 degrees Celsius, it didn't make me feel it.

A friend of mine who is a fisherman landed it in Katsuura, Wakayama and gave it to me as a souvenir.
It has a classic flavor with a subdued smell, but it goes well with sashimi and kakiage (deep fried shrimp), and is easy to drink.
I warmed up about 1 gou of the sake, which I enjoyed, but the two fishermen said they preferred it cold.

Two fishermen who are friends of mine came to my house for a drink.
When poured into a glass, a strong bubbling like carbonated water rises up. The smell is of rice, and you can tell it is sake. It has a gentle sweetness with a bitter aftertaste, and the gasiness gives it a strong dryness.
It was gone in no time.
