During the bubble period when I joined the company, Niigata's light, dry wines were booming! Kubota and Hakkaisan were at a premium, but now they are affordable.  I haven't had it in a while, but I recommend it as a food sake. I have the impression that it is somewhere between fruity and dry.

I've been hooked on it since a nearby liquor store recommended it to me 6 years ago when I lived in Hasuda, Saitama. The name and the color of the bottle attract me, but it's also very pleasant to drink😃.  It's light but has depth, and it's very refreshing at the end!  It can be served as an aperitif or as a mid-meal drink. Yamamoto never disappoints with any of their brands!

A nostalgic taste that I haven't had in a while! The election is coming up, but this is former Minister Gemba's family's brewery.  It's not the fruity, glamorous taste favored these days, but it's the taste that old-time sake drinkers love!  As a food sake 🍶, it is excellent 😋. It is not at all like the sake of old and is easy to drink!

The sound of champagne 🍾 when you open the cork! The living liquor itself 🍶. Apple aroma as expected, drinks like a white wine.  After a week, the fizz faded and the taste became full-bodied! I can drink as much as I want.

The famous sake served at the 2016 Ise-Shima Summit!  Reminds me of the two shots of Abe and Obama. Is it really Koizumi, Ishiba, or Trump Harris?  It tastes like a white wine with a clear and deep taste. It must have been chosen to suit both Japanese and foreign top executives.  In Fukushima, you can only buy it at certain places!  I appreciate that no matter when I drink it, every kind tastes as expected!

Because it is a popular sake, even the liquor store where you can buy the best sake has a limited number of bottles available for purchase, only one for each family member. The taste does not disappoint.  It has a deep taste, but it is also crisp and not too strong. It also goes down your throat quickly.  It reminded me of the excitement I felt when I attended a Ryozeki-san-only meeting deep in the mountains of Yuzawa, Akita.

A refreshing, crisp drink for summer 🍶. I wonder if it's the effect of the brewer's alcohol in it? Like the 14th generation Takagi Shuzo's Asahitaka, I can't help but feel that this taste for around 2,700 yen is indeed from a popular sake brewery.

Although it is written to be used as an aperitif, it tastes good enough to be used as an aperitif!  Even though it is junmai, it has a refreshing taste and a nice throat cooing sensation🙆🙆.  It's my first time to buy it, but I was satisfied.

This was my first time drinking it and it was so well balanced that I want to drink it again and again🍶. It had just the right amount of sweetness and spiciness, and the right amount of shades of gray. My impression is that it is fruity.

I had been wanting to drink it for a long time and finally got around to it. It is a brand recommended by my former boss at my former company, and it is just as delicious as I expected.  It is fruity, with aromas of banana and melon, but the slight astringency that lingers at the end plays a differentiating role, and is the very reason why it is so popular among sake connoisseurs.  Our two drinking girls were also very satisfied.

This is the first time I drank it while living in Fukushima. It is between sweet and dry, light and mellow. It is well-balanced! It also has a guttural sensation in the throat and is great as an aperitif or a mid-meal drink! I never get tired of it and want to drink it again and again 🍶.

All American Ginjo🌾. I used to drink Okunomatsu a lot until more than 10 years ago, but h, I haven't had it for a while.  I had an image of light and dry, but this brand has depth.  This taste for less than 3,000 yen is precious! I will taste it again as a food sake!

For the first time in a while, I was able to have a drink at Kagobo, a small restaurant nearby.  It is so rare to find it at liquor stores, and is so valuable that you can buy it with a purchase coupon after one year!  It is not as rich or floral, but it has a great mouthfeel that goes down smoothly. It's not as rich as the others, but it has a great mouthfeel that comes in easily.  I would love to drink it at home 🍶.

I finally got it! Unlike the gorgeous fruity stuff we've been getting lately, this feels like a real classic sake! It goes down smoothly, leaves a slight irritation in the throat, and is both light and full-bodied.  I can understand why many people say they like it better than Tobiroki! I think I prefer Tobiroki. I can't get it these days, and I've almost forgotten what it tastes like.

I rarely drink honjozo, but this is exceptional! It exudes a sharpness. At 13 degrees, it is as refreshing as a white wine and goes down your throat nicely.  I am surprised that it costs less than 3,000 yen. ‼️

White wine at first, like a cocktail🍸. Light on the palate. Great as an aperitif 😀. With the passage of time, it also develops a sense of deliciousness! I enjoyed it as a food wine as well: ‼️

It's been a while since I've had it, but it didn't disappoint. It was fruity like a white wine, a little sweet when opened, but the next day it became more refreshing and to my liking.  It would be perfect as an aperitif. Before posting on this site, I had a marker in Matsubu. I bought it in 1990 at a sake brewer's cooperative in Chuo-ku, Tokyo. I think the number of sake breweries has decreased considerably since then.  In a move, the eastern edition, which I drink a lot of, was torn and lost somewhere. I have a copy, but it's a big shock!

I have been drinking sake for 38 years, and I have never had such a cosy sake. It has an unbelievable flavor and sharpness for a sake made with brewer's alcohol and 70% polished rice, and it doesn't linger even the next day.  Yamagata won first place in Japan in the New Sake Competition. Seven years ago, I heard a seminar by Mr. Koseki, a special advisor to the prefectural sake brewers' association, who said that Yamagata has been working on sake brewing by researching water, sake rice, and technology in cooperation with industry, academia, and government. This must be the result of steady efforts.  Having lived in Fukushima for 17 years, I am disappointed to have missed the 10 consecutive championships, but I will celebrate Yamagata's victory with sake, which I have enjoyed living there for 3 years 🥹.
