🚢. The nice thing about tastings is that you can drink things that you might not think to buy in a four-pack. I don't often drink super dry, so I'll take this one since I'm in the mood for it. Since I've been drinking sweet sake so far, the dry sake makes me feel "kyuu" in my hungry stomach that hasn't had lunch😅. I wonder if it goes well with sashimi?

I wanted a dry, dry drink. There are days when I'm in that mood. You might say don't choose raw, but I realized it after the sake bottle came. I enjoyed it with yudofu. It fits my mood today. When I think of dry, dry sake, I think of Niigata, Hiroshima, and Kochi. I admit to disagreeing.

This Sake paired well with the home made bacon we had with dinner. The flavor profile is bright with the flavor of banana and has a dry, clean finish. The dryness is mild and not overly strong.

It was sold in advance at the brewery opening but I couldn't go, so I bought it after the official release. The top aroma is a bit like high cooked rice. It has a gentle sweetness and volume. When buying Aizu sake, I was attracted by the words "Dry Honjozo". The simple name "Aizu" also intrigues me👍. When I opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was mineral and clear. The mouthfeel is soft and smooth. The dry, refreshing taste is balanced by the sweet, astringent acidity and the umami of the rice. Although it is a regular honjozo, it has a delicate, gorgeous flavor, perhaps due to the 60% rice polishing ratio, which makes it one rank above other dry honjoze! The soft and clean part is reminiscent of "Ding" ✨. It is also very cost-effective and tastier than I expected...! You can clearly feel that it is well-known as a local sake. I would love to drink it with codfish stew 🤤.

I drank it for the first time at a store in Hanamaki and was surprised by the sourness. It seemed to be quite a challenge since Iwate is generally known for its sweet and tasty sake. The acidity is citrusy with a crisp, bitter taste. Overall, it is a refreshing summer sake. It is well-balanced and can be drunk easily. The yeast seems to be different from last year's, and judging from the other reviews, it may be a different one. (It's also possible that my taste buds are wrong...) Today is the annual New Year's Day visit to Kawagoe Naritasan Naritasan, and then to celebrate the golden wedding of my wife's parents. Dinner.
