Purchased at a local liquor store...Yamada Nishiki, ✖️ Gohyakumangoku = Koshitanrei, 100% sake rice from Niigata Prefecture. Sweet! It's more of a drink to enjoy on its own than a midday drink... it's a beginner's drink... women will love it... and since it's unfiltered, it's unfiltered, you can drink it on the rocks with ice... yup!

Drinking continues at Don Chaya 🕺. We emptied the weird "Haneya", followed by another round 🍶. We chose our first brand that we could see in the cellar✨ First "Kame no Ou Junmai Ginjo Shiboritate" 🎉. Not much in the way of aroma, but a clean sweetness on the palate, with a pleasantly sharp and sweet [Kame-no-o] lingering finish! I found out later that they revived Kame-no-o and used this episode as a model for Natsuko's Sake, so in a sense, they are the pioneer of Kame-no-o 😁.

Memorandum It looks like a classic type, but it's not. Slightly effervescent and refreshing but with a robust flavor and taste, it's not light but for some reason it's a dangerous one that goes down easy (P.S.U.M.). It's really a "hodenasu" 😅 Personal rating 7.5/10 points

It's out again this year! Hode Nasu! It's a tag-team sake from Kadoden Brewery, which is also known as a metamorphosis of rice, and Hagino Brewery, which is known as one of the best sweet and sour brewers in Miyagi Prefecture. While the heady aroma is modest, the tangy gassiness gives the sake a strong umami presence. The sweetness and acidity typical of Hagino Brewery are also present. It is covered with lees and is very satisfying to drink! It is a dangerous sake with a sharpness that makes it easy to drink. Please don't abuse it.
