It is that time of year again! This year's Mr. Summer Time was a grand presentation event, inviting circus members to the Kanmei Sake Brewery for a mini-concert of sorts. I couldn't go, though. The aroma of this year's product is a little subdued. I like that mewashi aroma, though. The mouthfeel is strong and dark, and the harmony of umami and sweetness is wonderful! It is a departure from the low-alcohol, light summer sake style, and is more like a munchy, dirty summer night. Despite the strong flavor, the sharpness of the sake is very refreshing, so it is easy to drink. Of all the summer liquors, this one is my favorite. Thank you very much for your kindness!

The fourth and final bottle I bought from Gonoi Sake Store's free shipping campaign is Karahashi, which is one of my favorite brands ❗ As I wrote in my previous review, it is brewed by Homare Shuzo, the family of freelance announcer Yumi Karahashi 😘. I've had the Yamada Nishiki black kara-hashi a few times before, but I've missed the Yume-no-Koh white kara-hashi a few times at my local liquor store, so I took this opportunity to pop it ☝️. The upfront aroma is a hint of strawberry🍓. It's sweet and delicious at first, but after swallowing, the bitter and sour aftertaste spreads slowly. It's dry compared to Haneya's Aizan, which I opened just before, but I like it because it's not overpowering, and it goes well with almost anything😄. It's a shame that the brand name is not registered on Sake no Wa... 😢.

The mark looks much like some airline company. Pouring it into a cold sake glass and bringing it close to the nose, the aroma is sweet and soft, like a peach. When you drink it immediately, you cannot sense any strong characteristics at first, but the deliciousness of the rice oozes out from the middle part of the bottle, and in the latter half, the fruity overtone appears in small waves. There is little bitterness or astringency. Overall, it has an elegant flavor typical of Junmai Daiginjos. Thank you very much.

Saijo Sake Festival (6) The last sake brewery we visited was Sanyotsuru Sake Brewery, which was also new to us! We drank hiyaoroshi and bought some limited edition sake and left Saijo 🍶. It was a very fun sake festival, but there were just too many people 😂I would like to come back on a weekday when it's quieter. I heard it's also famous that people always fall down and ambulances come, but I guess it's safe? I'm happy to see it😅 Alcohol in moderation 🚑. ☀️ I'm at the Saijo Sake Festival. It's a great crowd 😳 First of all, we had a barrel of Sanyo Sake 🙏. It's quite reasonable at 100 yen for 60ml 🙄. Well, I guess that's festival price 😆. It's sake 🍶. LIBROM x UNITEDARROWS x Hamadaya Sake Shop Smoothie Sour Sake Banana🍌🍌🍌 It's a craft saké called Smoothie Sour Sake, which is made by LIBROM's doburoku process with a large amount of domestic bananas. ☺️ The aroma and quality of the sake is similar to that of a plum liqueur, but the banana flavor comes through in the aftertaste. When mixed with the sedimentary layer, it turns into a thicker, thicker Doburoku. The creaminess and volume come through, but it is not at all weirdly strong, and the banana flavor is very mild and easy to drink 😋😋😋😋.
