Three staggering drunks strolling to the next restaurant🐾🐈🐾 We drank only our favorites at the first restaurant, so the second one was Aomori sake (๑🍶๑🍶🍶´-) Yum! Fruity! I decided to go to ❣️ because I had never had it before and because of the words "fruity". Exactly! Aomori means scallops 🥰. This is the first time I actually ate them there 🎶. It tastes gentler than the ones I make myself ☺️ I'll use it as a reference for the next time I make it.

Yamatsuru is the closest sake brewery to my house, but I haven't had much of it lately. The last time I drank it I got the impression that it was peculiar and not really my cup of tea, but not this Junmai Daiginjo! Clear and fruity, good balance of flavors. It's also gorgeous😋. The price is reasonable for a Junmai Daiginjo, but I think it's worth it🧐 I can't underestimate local sake 😚

Low-polished Junmai-shu from Yamatsuru, a local sake brewery in Ikoma, Nara. The name is Choyao. It was a gift, but it looks like it will cost a fortune💧. I heard it was brewed using a method described in a wooden letter from the Nara period. I wonder if it is true. Anyway, let's try it. Wow! It is indeed as rich and sweet as I had heard! The sake level is a whopping -40❗️ But the aftertaste is refreshing. Surprisingly easy to drink and delicious 😋. It's pretty good 👍I'll have to try this one too 😙. But I wonder if people in the Nara period really enjoyed this kind of sake 🤔.

The sake I chose when I returned home for Obon was Gold Junmai Daiginjo by Popular Sake Brewery. This sake brewery is very particular about the traditional method of making sake, and everything is made in wooden vats. It is a junmai daiginjo that is polished to 50%, so there is no cloying taste at all ✨It starts with an elegant sweetness and rice flavor, with the aroma of the wooden vat and a slight bitterness at the end. Delicious 😊.

Hakkeikubiki is a series of the eight blessings of Kakizaki: sun, water, earth, sky, wind, trees, snow, and people. This is wind. Come to think of it, it was windy in Kakizaki. This is the second bottle from the Sake Rice Study Group. The sake rice is locally grown Koshitanrei. The aroma is light, but has the gorgeous flavor of a daiginjo. The taste is very broad. It is delicious.

Memorandum It looks like a classic type, but it's not. Slightly effervescent and refreshing but with a robust flavor and taste, it's not light but for some reason it's a dangerous one that goes down easy (P.S.U.M.). It's really a "hodenasu" 😅 Personal rating 7.5/10 points

It's a tag-team sake from Kadoden Brewery, which is also known as a metamorphosis of rice, and Hagino Brewery, which is known as one of the best sweet and sour brewers in Miyagi Prefecture. While the heady aroma is modest, the tangy gassiness gives the sake a strong umami presence. The sweetness and acidity typical of Hagino Brewery are also present. It is covered with lees and is very satisfying to drink! It is a dangerous sake with a sharpness that makes it easy to drink. Please don't abuse it. This Sake has a full mouth feel and some sweetness at the beginning. The flavor of this Sake is bigger than other Seitoku Sake but it still has good balance. Very good with big flavor foods like mapo tofu.

This Sake has an initial sweetness and a full mouth feel. There is a hint of cedar as the alcohol clears my pallet. Very good with big flavor foods like yakiniku. Seitoku has many Sake that I enjoy.

This Sake is light, refreshing and easy to drink. I am revisiting this Sake because it has been a while since I last drank it. I enjoy the mild flavors of apple and melon with a clean, short aftertaste. This is a refreshing and well balanced Sake.

Purchased at the Nohmi Sake Shop, 2,690 yen per bottle. I thought it tasted a little strong right after opening the bottle, but after replacing the bottle with a 4-gou bottle, I started sipping it slowly, and the strength of the alcohol (15%) became less noticeable. Purchased at the HYOGO SAKE EXPO. The aroma is of aged aroma like Shaoxing wine. The hint of gunpowder-like aroma. I think it is clean and easy to drink for an aged wine. I thought it would be good to drink with fruits and sweets. The acidity is a nice accent. Perhaps because it is a daiginjo, it feels fruity even though it is an aged sake.

Harima is a sake from Miki. Although unfiltered, it had a beautiful mouthfeel with no cloying taste. It was a truly delicious sake with a pleasantly cool flavor and umami.

I remember the last time I drank Miyaganbai, it was delicious 🤔. I knew there was a sake collaboration between my neighborhood liquor store and the Kanmei Brewery, but I put it off thinking I could always buy it. But it's plum season and I finally bought it (almost, coyly). Oyusaki Quartet I heard that the name "Uguisaki" is a play on Osaki, where the cold plum trees are located, or plum blossoms and bush warblers (Uguisu), and many other things! At first, you can taste a little sourness. It's just a little bit sour, but it's not too much. The sweetness is soft and lingers on the tongue. Maybe a little more refreshing than the Miyakanume I had before (not sure I remember that 😆). Fresh, fruity and a little different from the gentle sweetness of rice. It is also beautiful and delicious 😋. On the second day, it seems a little more sour. And sweetness too. As an added bonus, here's a picture of the plums
