Nagano Business Trip Part 2 Today we had another cup of Takaten sake recommended by a local senior 😋. This is the recovery sake from the Furuya Sake Brewery, after they were devastated by a fire. They made 2,000 bottles with "Hitogokochi" rice they were just able to get from the local area. For me, it wasn't about the taste; I drank it as a local showing my support. ( It was delicious, of course!)

Imanishi Sake Brewery is well known for its Mimuro Cedar. I have not seen this sake very often, but I bought it thinking that the sake bearing their name must be very strong. The aroma is subdued, but it is like a rummy. It has a light sweetness and a nice sharpness. It has a slight alcohol taste.
