A gift from Sawanoizumi The Jun Dai I drank before was a Miyagi sake, beautifully light and dry, and I felt (selfishly) the earnestness of the toji (master brewer). I had an image of a modest, but firm, light, dry Kura. And then there is this special pure Sawanoizumi. It does not have much of a topping aroma, but the mouthfeel is surprisingly sweet and umami! It is sweet to the level of the Hitakami, and the robust umami is also very tasty! It has a light acidity and bitterness, followed by a refreshing sharpness. It's good! This is good! The price is relatively cheap, about 1300 yen for a four-pack, but it is convincing enough! Ishikoshi Brewery. I underestimated you. Sorry about that. Sake is so interesting because there are new discoveries even at the foot of the table like this! Thank you very much!

Honjozo 🍶 fresh stored sake✨ A good, albeit alsodense, taste. Dry aftertaste. Slightly bitter. Mild when paired with salmon. ☺️ Sweetness when paired with sea bream. It's delicious. GW in Kanazawa! At the Kanazawa Sake Brewery in Kanazawa Station, we came across a dream machine that allowed us to sample sake for 100 or 300 yen (P.S.) Naturally, we took the challenge. The description said it was dry, but I prefer raw sake, so I chose this one. I tasted it thinking it might be a fruity type, but it was a clear dry sake that would go well with sashimi and other dishes. I appreciate free tastings, but I feel somewhat guilty about it, so this kind of reasonably priced tasting is very helpful and encourages me to try different kinds. I tasted three other types of sake here, and all of them seemed dry to me. I have an image that Ishikawa's sake is basically dry.

It was hard to ask them to let me take a picture because they looked so busy, so no picture. The aroma is classic Japanese sake. When you drink it, it is quite refreshing and slightly sweet. Japanese Sake Fest @ Osaka Bay Tower (・ω・`) The effect of oak barrels, or something quite close to whiskey, but the mellowness and acidity of sake is also alive! I know it's just my imagination, but I feel it's similar to the whiskey akashi. Of course, if I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have thought so. I also had a bottle of Junmai Namae in the heated sake corner, but my memory is a little fuzzy on whether or not my brain was getting the alcohol when I got here! I do remember that it was meant to be heated, but that's about it.

Next was the Ryusen Yaezakura Junmai Sake Takumi no Omachi. Compared to the Yamada-Nishiki we drank earlier, the taste is a little more robust. The aroma is almost imperceptible, but the sweetness and umami of the flavor is stronger than that of Yamadanishiki. I was full of anticipation, wondering what this sake, which won first place in the Governor's Award, would taste like! I went to the brewery and asked them about it, and they told me that they will start selling it next week. I am looking forward to it! It was delicious! (^o^) P.S. This year, my hibiscus has many flower buds. Last year, they hardly bloomed at all... (^_^; )
