As the summer is drawing to a close (the heat is still on), I opened a bottle of "Katsuragawa" sake on the rocks, which I was looking forward to drinking again this year! And the back of the bottle is falling apart due to condensation again๐. When we opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was sweet and fluffy, typical of "Katsuragawa". It is a bit sour and comes in through the nose as if it is cold on the rocks. The mouthfeel has a pettiness by default, but on the rocks it is smooth and silky. Back in the day, Niigata's Sanbai was an extremely hard-to-find brand. I often visited Niigata Takata on business and was often presented with it. Mine-no-Hakubai is also often seen as Hishiko at local liquor stores. However, Yukinubai is not so easy to find in my hometown. So, I got it on a business trip to Joetsu.
