GW 4 days 3 nights with wife, 1,500km round trip🤣 We went on a Sanriku car trip 🙂. We stayed one night near Sendai and went to Sanriku. We had an ume (sea urchin) lunch box at Kuji station, and spent the second night in Miyako. Miyako's sake brewery, Hishiya Sake Brewery, Senryo Otokoyama. Seafood Cuisine at Murekou, a long-established bar that has been in business for over 45 years. Today we had fresh and delicious seafood dinner at Today, the restaurant was run by a pleasant elderly couple, who were basically just a customer with a reservation, but they were happy to help us at the counter.

At home. This is the first time I've had sake from Hokkaido. I thought that Hokkaido's sake was more alcoholic, but it was completely different. You can feel the sweetness of the rice, and there is a bitter taste at the end. It is a refreshing type and very easy to drink. We received a lot of sake from Hokkaido, so we will try to taste and upload it little by little.

A Drink to Remember Series (5) In the early summer of 2015, I planned to take my car on a ferry to Wakkanai, Hokkaido, and when I arrived safely in Wakkanai, I had a drink at a yakitori restaurant for the first time in my life 🍶. The memory reminds me of the faint muscat-like aroma and sharp sharp sharpness 😋. The beauty of the label with the brand name, the wish behind the name "Fuyu Hanabi", and the taste of the local sake when you drink it on a trip...it was one of the reasons I became a sake lover 🎵. I still see it at Sake-no-wa from time to time, so I couldn't help but fish it out from old photos 😆. Yamada-Nishiki 40% polished rice More modern label than the Nihonshin I drank at home 😁. It's gorgeous, but I felt it's more sake-like... The label is also modern and written in English, so I wonder if it's for export?

This one, like the Ko-Imari, was purchased when I was with Yoohee-san. The rice is Matsuyama Mitsui. It has a melon-like taste and a strong bitter taste like bitter melon. Purchased at Mikiya, a direct sales store near Umeichirin Sake Brewery. They sell Ume-Ichirin sake, sake cups, and other goods, but they also sell boxed lunches and other items, just like a convenience store. I bought this one, which had a pop-up sign saying it was the most popular. I found out about this place at a bar in Matsumoto the other day, and since it is a sake brewery in Kujukuri, I went there since it was the GW season and Kangiku was close by. The back of Cheeba-kun's head. Umeichirin Sake Brewery is doing quite well for a local sake and is expanding nationwide. I heard from another nearby sake brewery (Moriya Sake Brewery) that they are expanding their business nationwide.

Special Junmai Shiboritate Nama-shu from Ando Suigun 🏴‍☠️. Koji: Hanabukiyuki🌾Kakemai: Mashigure🌾. We got almost the bottom of the bottle🍶. The top aroma is sweet with a hint of richness. In the mouth, it has a mild sweetness and a full-bodied flavor with a hint of millet sugar. The finish is crisp and refreshing, as is typical of Aomori sake. Last year it was very light, perhaps because the rice was too hard, but this year it is very good 😊 (sorry to sound so arrogant). It was delicious 🍶🏴‍☠️
