Shinano-kuni Ichinomiya Suwa-taisha Shrine
Suwa-taisha is a Shinto shrine built in the Suwa Mountains, and three of the four shrines do not have main shrines.
The powerful sacred pillars and komainu (guardian dogs) are also a must-see!
You can also visit the four shrines and immerse yourself in the history of each one. ✌️
The water at the Kamisha Mae-miya shrine was especially pleasant!
I got a bottle of Honkin no Suwa by Sake Nunoya Honkin Sake Brewery.
I saw it at the Hata Sake Shop, but was not able to purchase it after all!
The subtle scent of ginjo aroma is more subdued than the last one I had before dawn!
The taste is juicy at first with moderate acidity and elegant sweetness, like melon or banana!
The sweetness then quickly fades away, leaving a lingering dryness and sweetness of rice that is typical of sake.
It was a pleasant 28 degrees Celsius at Lake Suwa!
The owner said it was very hot... 😊.
When I go shopping in Ibaraki again, I will buy other kinds of sake 🎶.

Honkin" Sake Nunoya Honkin Sake Brewery
Sake Nunoya Honkin is located right in front of Yokobue.
You can choose 4 types of sake from 6 types in the sake server.
Since I tasted at the Nagano event, I chose the one I had not tried yet.
Honkin Junmai Daiginjo Miyamanishiki.
It is clear, transparent and refreshing. It has a sense of elegance.
Honkin Junmai Ginjo Suwa
It has a strong acidity and then a delicious flavor. It has a strong flavor, but the aftertaste disappears easily.
Honkin Karakuchi Taichi Honjozo
A dry sake with a crisp, clean taste. It is not sharp and spicy, but has a crisp aftertaste.
Honkin Smooth
A seasonal sake. Mild sourness and sweetness with a hint of apple. The slightly low alcohol content makes it easy to drink.
The frontage of the brewery is small and cozy, like an old-fashioned sake brewery.
I've been drinking a lot of refreshing, sweet, fruity summer sake lately, so I decided to try the exact opposite.

Junmai Ginjo Suwa (4th from left)
Aroma of melon. It has a pleasant umami flavor, but the bitterness and acidity are also very assertive, giving a rather subdued impression.
○Junmai Yamae Nishiki (third from left)
It has a fruity sweet and sour taste and is light on the palate. The acidity remains and is refreshing. It is good after a meal.
Smooth Junmai (5th from left)
We had this last year, and it left a deep impression, so we had it again this year. It has a sweet and sour apple-like taste and is refreshing! The low alcohol content makes it very easy to drink.

The introduction of this bottle said it had a "floral aroma," and I certainly agree. I imagined lavender 🪻. It was an elegant sake.
It was an easy to drink sake with a sweet and sour, fruity taste and not too much of an aftertaste ✨.
The soft sweetness spreads softly on the tongue and an apricot-like aroma escapes.
One of my personal favorites of this season's Honkin, and a great cosmetic ✨.
The fact that it pulls away with a bit of sourness 👍.
I wonder if Yamae Nishiki drinking characteristics are like that.

I went on a Suwa sake brewery tour today and bought this sake recommended by one of the five breweries, Honkin, as a sweet sake popular with women. It was juicy and refreshing with 14% alcohol content. 1705 yen.

One of the five Suwa breweries. The production volume is a little over 100 koku.
The toji, Tsunetaro Miyasaka, has been the 9th generation brewer since 2008. Two years after taking over as toji, he was diagnosed with ALS, an intractable disease. He battles the disease while brewing delicious sake.
Honkin is available at Hata Sake Shop, and when I mentioned Hata Sake Shop, he said he was there just now.
